Were you still in the concourse when Ayew’s lack of press nearly sent us 2-0 up? Players can’t constantly press when we don’t have the ball there’s a right and a wrong time to do it. He's much more effective as a 10 than a 9 as when he’s playing the 9 he’s naturally dropping into the 10.

I feel like tonight was the first performance we’ve seen where we have the makings of a team. They all worked really hard and were up for the physical battle. Some moments of individual brilliance but a proper hard working performance. Still lots to improve on…. We could be devastating and we need to stop playing ourselves into trouble. Especially against teams that will press us high but j guess that was part of the gameplan to try and draw them in knowing they’re gonna press high which then gives us space to attack. Cant pick anyone out where you’d say “weak link tonight.”

Certainly his best performance for us tonight. Long may it continue.

Soumare was class tonight. Some of you will hate reading it and even worse admitting it. Of course one swallow doesn’t make a summer.

At least justice has been served. Again, they’re so desperate to not let their referees look like they’ve got something wrong so it was never going to be overturned. The same way it was never going to be overturned if it hadn’t have been given.

You can’t tell someone to give their head a wobble because they don’t agree with your views. Disagree with what they say, fine. But your opinion isn’t any more or less valid than the next persons. Don’t particularly agree with the stickers myself, but what right do I have to tell someone what they can or can’t do?

We certainly can’t play like we did today should we want to come away with a result. Hoping that the players manage to raise it for this one and things start coming together. At the minute we are a team of individuals.
