Really sad news.

Let’s take a bit of context into the fact he’s just coming back fresh off an ACL injury.

I think with Coventry they’ve got a settled squad, and have some decent momentum from last season. They’ll defo be there or thereabouts.

There will definitely be some sort of tribute, fitting that this is the first game after his passing.

Sad to hear it. Didn’t have the best of times on the pitch here but he was the one that started to turn it off the pitch.

Apart from the penalty I didn’t think he was that bad today. But it’s a really shocking decision to award a penalty. Player reaction says it all. All the time.

You’re right, you didn’t! But he can’t me making reasonable decisions. You’ve got to be certain.

I’m not saying he played well at all but he’s getting a lot of stick firstly for giving the penalty away and when people are realising it’s a shit decision, it’s then “well don’t give the ref the decision to make”.

We are third in the league with the joint second best defensive record in the league even though according to some people on here we’ve deserved to lose every game because it’s cool these days to not praise literally anything about us.

But on the same page, if Faes doesn’t make that action their winger runs into the box and gets pelted for that. The bloke can’t win sometimes.

Daka really offers more to the team. Pressing, occupying defenders, not dropping deep into the 10s space, creates space for the 8’s to run into.

Absolutely spot on. Their player appeals for a corner which says it all.

But that doesn’t make it right that he’s got the decision wrong though?

Some people are just never ever happy are they? Just enjoy the fact that we’ve won, scored 3 goals and played well for most parts of the game. Defended well when they had their best spell in the first half. Looked a lot better going forward. Daka has given our midfielders that extra bit of space to run into the last two games because he’s at least occupying their centre halves. Winks and James are already starting to form a decent understanding which is great to see. Always nice to go into an international break on the back of a win.

We look great when we put passages of play together going forward but certainly aren’t controlling the game enough for me. Defending well though. Hopefully we come out and take the game to them a bit more.

And one of their main arguments was that you only get 9pts for going into admin.

This is also a problem we encountered. We had 10 when I was helping out which meant everyone was only getting 2 quarters. Now he’s in a team of 8 which is just about right when you factor in that some of them might not be there each week which generally means they’re all gonna get 3 quarters more times than not. For me at their age, it’s all about the encouragement isn’t it. Get your message across during the game but do it in the right way. Even if they make a mistake just say good effort and maximise what you can. We’d played a lot of friendlies and one team we played wow, never heard anything like it from a grown men talking to 6 year old boys.

The problem I faced that in the former team, playing at level 5 my lad was head and shoulders above the rest of them, ability and understanding of the game, and he got frustrated that he wasn’t getting player of the week/MOTM more often than he did, so we made the decision in the end for the parents to vote. The final straw came for him when one of his own players tackled him And also at the age they’re at we were simply giving every single player regardless of ability the same amount of playing time (which for me is the right way to do it) and similar to you literally the only reason I was doing it was so him and his friends all had a team to play in. The annoying thing about u7’s is a lot of teams go in at a lower level than they should be and just waltz past teams. First game of the season, his former team had their first “league game” and their coach came over to us and said “we are too good for this level” and proceeded to absolutely batter them. He’s now moved to a level 3 side, where he is by no means the top dog there, so that’ll bring more out of him as well as playing against better opposition in more competitive games but more importantly he’s enjoying it more than getting pasted every week at level 5 even if his new team loses, he’s still enjoying it as well as enjoying training more and I think a lot of that is because he’s now got an impartial coach.

It says it all when the sour relationship between her and Rudkin means she’s the one to leave. Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see our good friend Anthony get the job.
