  1. I did.
  2. I’m an old fart of 71 and am never unpleasant. City is my life, but I’ve always been overly supportive and forgiving. I don’t mind the bad times, because without them you can’t appreciate the good times. The sun doesn’t shine all the time. I mix with loads of fans my age who vocally support the team. Ok, I draw the line at chants with the C word like the one aimed at Fofana last year. I personally thought that chant coming from SK1 was a disgrace, but not untypical from that area. If you haven’t learned by the time you are five years old that being nasty and rude is a no no, then there’s no real hope for the future. I’ve been watching the lads for over 60 years and actually do have some understanding of football, but because I’m an aged man, you are happy to slag off older fans because to me it seems to suit the current ageist agenda that permeates this web site.
  3. Well played England. Disgraceful performance by umpires in the overturned LBW decisions. They are deciding who keeps or loses their reviews. If both had been given out as both plumb, the onus would have been on Australia to review and risk losing reviews, which could make a massive difference later in their innings, a la 2019.
  4. And he had deliberately tapped behind the crease which is common practise by many batsmen. And I believe the umpire was handing back the bowlers cap indicating the over was complete. I don’t blame the keeper, but I cannot believe Cummins didn’t call bairstow back. Australia are rightly becoming the pariahs in international cricket with their constant cheating, such as the claiming of grounded catches. Look at their Indian series, they’re well disrespected over there.
  5. Assuming you are directed to the correct page when you tap the link!
  6. Still taking me nowhere, been trying since 10am. Looks like a phone job Monday! Means all the seats I’m hoping to get will be gone,
  7. 32 unsuccessful last year. One of my lads successful mid 40’s.
  8. What a crap thread. I can’t believe how many snow flake, up their own backside fans we have. Yes it’s been a horrendous season, it’s all gone wrong, BR stayed too long and the transfers in over the last two years have been shocking. However, the support has been poor this year, people around me slagging off our players inside a minute if they make a mistake. Only decent support away when we have been losing was at Leeds. Our fans have created a toxic environment down at the KP looking to pounce on every error. I’ve been going since 62/63 and the fan base is the most judgemental and unforgiving I’ve ever experienced. The last five months have been the worst for many years, but if you leave early or boo the team in their hour of need, don’t call yourself a true blue. I know I’ll get slated by all you keyboard warriors, but I ain’t bothered. I’ll be at Newcastle next week cheering the lads on while all you lot are slagging them off.
  9. He works hard, but makes nothing happen. You need to be more than a work horse at this level. I’m not a KDH fan particularly, (Teflon feet) but feel he does bring more to the team
  10. Obviously a Leicester lad through and through, but not premier league standard. Can’t defend, positionally poor and can’t kick a ball down the line to save his life. Every time Everton came down his side they cut through us. Not just his fault I agree, but when the team was announced you knew we were in for a torrid time defensively.
  11. It’s too subjective for me. Who decides what is a chance? Is a shot from 10 yards easier than a shot From 20 yards. What about the angle of the shot or if it is blocked etc? Maths to me is an exact science. This just seems a bit of a gimmick to me, but if someone can genuinely improve performance on the field by using it, then good luck to them.
  12. It WAS comfortable. Ok, should have won 3-0 minimum, but any neutral will confirm we bossed the game.
  13. Just open a Dart account. I did years ago, put all my family and mates cars on it. Up to 20 vehicles. Dart top it up with £10 from your Bank account when credit your credit balance drops below a tenner. Not important but also give 20% discount. We use the crossing maybe five time a year, worth it and saves loads of hassle.
  14. I thought we might get a result tonight and had a bet on 1-2. With a bit of belief and luck, could and maybe should have done it. After 60 years plus though I’m used to the lads finding ways to lose. That’s our Leicester.
  15. No creative players for me. Just hoping we would hold out. Glad we scored, but feel sorry for the travelling fans. Just get taken for granted, BR is losing a lot of goodwill. He needs to understand that we need to see a team that fights no matter what.
  16. Picked a team to lose and we lost.
  17. Ditto, but in the old Jury’s Inn, but on train from Peterborough, £39 return. 1418 going out, 0930 back following morning. Know Newcastle really well, visited quarterly for a few years doing audits for a furniture company. In those days used to stay at the Hilton Gateshead. First time I booked I said are you Hilton Newcastle, they said no, wash your mouth out😂
  18. Staying overnight. Booked the old Jury’s Inn. Realise as retired, it’s easier for me, but can’t miss a quarter final!
  19. Well happy with that draw. If you are worried about facing teams like Newcastle then you have no faith or belief in our team. Sure we could close, but man for man we are the more talented team. If you don’t believe in the lads then don’t go. BUT don’t post crap negative comments, in the hope that you’ll be proved right if we get knocked out.
  20. If my maths is correct, 520 is not that difficult to have reached assuming you’ve been a STH for the last nine / ten years. Nine x 50 plus 70 away games. That’s only say eight away games a year, out of approx 20.
  21. It was a good strike first half, but thought Pickford was slow to get down to it. Shouldn’t be beaten from that distance, albeit hit it sweetly. I’m not saying the ref was biased, but two heavyweight Europeans teams and they get a ref with no personality or presence. The lino’s were poor as well. England may well have lost with a top European ref, but the guy tonite gave our lads little protection and seemed to favour the opposition in key moments. It’s like the Uruguayan officials 12 years ago who disallowed Lampard’s goal. Inadequate at the job, but FIFA persevere with them.
  22. Pleased for DA that he got a measure of satisfaction in ensuring Uruguay didn’t get out of the group. Luis Suarez face at the end a picture. Some payback for Ghana.
  23. Don’t actually blame the Welsh players. The manager for me. I thought the he was well out of his depth, no discernible game plan, didn’t want to have a go, except for latter stages of the USA game. I know he can only use what’s at his disposal, but even teams like Qatar and Morocco have shown more intent and desire.
  24. You must be fun to have around. Three points away from home, clean sheet, but let’s be negative. FFS, all teams have scary moments in a game, that’s the nature of football. It would be boring otherwise.
