  1. Yes fully agree. Everybody hung about and thwarted their bowlers. Great effort. Pleased for Hill, he needed a score. We bat deep, but need to win a game, to kick start the season, hopefully starting with the Welsh. We owe them a beating.
  2. Mate, I was gutted. Losing to that shower, plus the road closed off following the murder near the pub. Long journey home that night.
  3. What’s the fuss all about. I’ve just spent £100 on four season cards for next year. Can’t get excited all a few quid. If you get riled over £25, whether or not it is OTT in terms of producing the plastic card, you must be easily upset. So many other important issues in the world at the moment and this is top of your list🙄
  4. This is the toughest year ever to get out of this division. 10 years ago over half the league were rubbish. Burnley got promoted and were terrible. The current team needs more respect, a job well done in the face of a generally poor and exceptionally critical fan base.
  5. Some saints fan has gone on his forum to say that he’s being going away for many years supporting his team, but last night was one of the best / loudest home supports he’s ever witnessed!
  6. Yes and a lot more long kicks from Mads. More last night than any match this season. Mixed it up for a change which worked well. Think it surprised the opposition.
  7. Can still see Stewart’s goal, but not Muzzy’s!
  8. West Brom didn’t do enough to win or even get a draw. Obviously not a fluent display by us, but West Brom basically huffed and puffed. Our defence did enough. West Brom were very poor up front, typical championship attack.
  9. Ditto🙄
  10. It’s common knowledge he is not 100% fit, but too valuable to leave out.
  11. Both Saints and Hull deserved at least a point. Both home teams get the key decisions at the end of the game. A feature this season for both those two teams.
  12. Unfortunately both promotion and relegation will be decided by the officials. No consistency whatsoever this season. It seems the officials use the rule book as a menu and decide on an ad hoc basis which rules to follow.
  13. Be nice if some of the fans showed they give a shit. Thousands leaving early as per😡 Win or lose stay to applaud the team. Plastics.
  14. 6000+ proper city fans backing the lads non-stop. Fans can make a difference! We’ll make several chances - just got to take them.
  15. He clearly kicks Vardy with no attempt to play the ball. Foul anywhere else on the pitch.
  16. I was 21 at the time. The crush when the goals went in - unbelievable. Still got the newspaper with the famous picture of Joe Waters in bed next morning reading the papers. In my mums loft somewhere with 10 years of scrapbooks. We could have drawn Burnley or Newcastle in the semi final, but just like eight years later got the toughest team left!
  17. We’ll opt for a Spoonies central ish. Breakfast at 830-9am, couple of hours chilling and then probably tube it to Fulham Broadway. Walk to Earls Court station coming home.
  18. I’ve been on the mackems forum and not too many say they deserved anything. Also most agree no penalty. Too obvious he threw himself.
  19. KDH appears to be carrying an injury to me, same as I thought Saturday. He’s defo not 100%, but maybe all we’ve got in that position.
  20. Lost to two very late goals. Frank Burrows manager, pending the arrival of one Ian Holloway,
  21. So unlucky that night!
  22. We do miss some really simple chances. Daka had two absolute gimmes in the last two league games. The Boro headed miss from a few yards and obviously the simple shot at Leeds. I know he was unlucky with the offside. Probably cost us six points and we could all have relaxed!
  23. No normal train service that weekend. Looks like between 3 hours and 6 hours journeys, with bus journeys included. Planned maintenance. Looks like the M1 gonna be busy.
  24. You don’t have to go by the organised buses about 3 to 4 hours before kick off. I know Rome quite well and me and my two lads (in their 40’s) just walked the 21/2 miles via the odd bar. We had our our city tops so got a few mostly good natured comments, but when we were about 1/2 mile from the ground got ordered by the police to take them off until we reached the away end. Just as well, as we had to walk past the home end, which was like scene out of Gladiator, a couple of thousand ultras, many holding 10ft by 5ft flags and really getting into the spirit of the occasion. The buses back are a bind. Drove round in circles for best part of an hour. Dumped at the Termini early hours of the morning with all bars shut in the area.
