Leicester v Villa Match Thread 31/8/2024
lnkstern replied to ozleicester's topic in Leicester City Forum
Jordan Ayew wins the ball back nicely there. -
19 attempts, 7 on target, vice 3 and 0 for Tranmere.
-
Ayew for Reid. Lets see how this shakes out...
-
Fulham with the possession, but only one real solid chance. The defensive line looks good thus far -- Wout and Jannik with some key clearances already.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
lnkstern replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Have Vardy start (if fit), then bring on Ayew in the 65th minute? I am looking forward to seeing how Ayew and Skipp are used this weekend, and how well they integrate into the squad. And I will definitely take 11 goal involvements during this season! -
Fulham v Leicester - Pre-match thread (August 24th)
lnkstern replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
I have no idea what to expect from this match whatsoever. I just hope we will show up and put in a shift. I can accept whatever happens if we put in the work. Integration of Skipp into the squad may cause a few hiccups due to lack of familiarity. I expect a lucky bounce or two will end up being the difference. But I am looking forward to this! -
Apparently Steve Cooper gives a good halftime inspirational speech!
-
Spurs got an extra sub because of the head injury to their player
-
It's gonna be 98 minutes of stoppage time....
-
Excellent pass to Vardy from VK! By God, we are in this match!
-
How did every Spurs defender start ball-watching and NOT pay any attention to Vardy? Horrible defending, leading to one of Jamie's easiest goals ever!
-
Get some energy subs on at 60 minutes. Maybe change the flow of the game.
-
I couldn't get a ticket. And I'm 4600 miles away.

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

Ya -- a solid effort from all players, a cohesive game plan, intelligent defending, and a bit of luck can easily lead to positive results! I don't do the pre-match doom and gloom. -
Glad to see Kiernan get some playing time. Sad (for me at least) seeing our home-grown lad in another kit. But I hope he goes on and becomes a world-beater!

I expect, irrespective of the tactical plan that the manager expects to eventually employ, the integration of new players will cause choppiness and disjointedness for the first six games or so. The players will also require time to learn each other's tendencies and preferences. But I do hope we get some bits of individual creativity that will lead to some goals. That and a few lucky bounces, and maybe some mistakes by the opposition defenders. I do not believe in all the gloom and doom. -

I'm in the US of A. If Great Britain scolds wish to try to arrest me, they are welcome to it. We had a bit of a scuffle about 250 years ago over many of the same issues. -
Less than a week until we kick off the new Premier League season! I expect a tough challenge. Do you have predictions for our starting lineup? How many new signings will get a start? Would love to see us beat Spurs.
-
The commentary is definitely disconnected in time from the video, at least for me.
-
Just asking because I do not know. Are unlimited subs allowed in preseason friendlies? Or is there any sort of limit?
-
Marc on, possibly for the last time for Leicester. I'm not crying, you're crying!
-
It is still possible for Leeds and/or Ipswich to end up with 93 points and still not get one of the automatic promotion slots. If that happens, the new points target for the autos will be 94.

EFL Champions 3 - 0 Preston North End post-match thread
lnkstern replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
As I stated many times, my personal goal for the club was to get back to the PL. However, I have never had any objection to also winning the league. And I am very very happy that we have! I will worry about next season after Euro 2024. For now-- Campeones, Campeones! -
Lets see 2009 -- League One Champions 2014 -- Championship Champions 2016 -- Premier League Champions 2021 -- FA Cup Winner (first time!) 2024 -- Championship Champions Not too shabby 😀
