  1. Fair enough but I have said before that point lead was exaggerated by teams of a similar quality underperforming and us over performing, we were literally on for a record points total. January was the turning point ultimately with AFCON as well as injuries. Immediate return to the premier league is stacked against you, see the odds below. But of the 81 teams relegated from domestic football's elite division since 1995-96, only 22 (around 27 per cent) bounced straight back. On average, less than one relegated team a season returns to the top flight one year later
  2. Fantastic result, promotion from the championship is more than just quality, our games against Birmingham today, millwall Tuesday and then Plymouth make no doubt about it are tough despite the table, teams are flighting for their status aswell as us. Not many teams steamroll there way to promotion from this league and we will be no different. It takes hard work, guts abit of luck and a sprinkle of quality. Forget about the points lead we had, at the start of the season we would have all snapped your hand off for this position, a game in hand top of the table entering the final month of games. Let’s see it over the line
  3. They always say the playoffs is the best way to go up anyway? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Although I have zero faith we win them!
  4. Sorry LM this was sold.
  5. Donated, thanks for providing a true voice for the fans, as your message says we are the true lifeblood of the club and always will be. I always love seeing the Tifos and a donation was well overdue!
  6. I have been seeing this mention of a huge point lead thrown away a lot, and despite this being true honestly I’m not hugely surprised. Our start and form within the first half of the season was literally record breaking and to maintain that was always going to be tough, but even in the first part of the season while we were creating the large gap I wouldn’t say we were constantly blowing teams away personally. We rode our luck in certain periods, take the Plymouth game at home for example 4-0 on paper seems like a really easy game, Plymouth had a few great chances squandered at 0-0 if I remember rightly. Had they punished us it’s likely we see results such as QPR and Middlesbrough defeats just recently at home. My point is that the first part of the season mistakes were not being punished due to the quality of the league, our position was made to look a lot stronger due to the oppositions performance rather than our own. The second part of the season we’ve seen a change to this, chances we are giving away are now being punished and we are not just able to get away with sloppy play and grind teams down to win. We are still a great championship team but within the chasing pack I’d say we are all fairly well matched, no way over the course of the season we have ever truly looked a team who should have been 21 clear of third place. The season has evened out with form, luck and other teams generally finding there feet etc. We just need one final push to see ourselves over the line hopefully as champions. But I personally wouldn’t use the term “bottlers”
  7. Praet looks knackered already just in that first half which is baffling. Well in this game agreed, just depends on the changes and how early potentially.
  8. Up until the 75th minute we were outstanding I thought, we defended so well, granted in the first half Leeds had missed opportunities but it was the perfect away performance. We started so well in that second period, probably the best I’ve seen us play this year, we won almost every second ball and some of our transitional play tore through Leeds. We just had to score in them key moments and we didn’t, it hurts this one as we genuinely didn't deserve to lose that game. But as Enzo says “that’sa footbol” Let’s get back to winning ways against QPR next week and forget this ever happened.
  9. His goal against Man City in the title winning season for me was a stand out memory, the way he lifted the ball over otamendi on the run and then his step overs before smashing it in the net was a thing of beauty. I loved it so much I purchased a close up still of it I think from the photographs of the game. The intention was always to try and get it signed but I didn’t fulfill that wish unfortunately. I’ll fish it out and post it sometime.
  10. Didn’t think he played that bad today? Not sure why he gets so much stick, felt he did alright considering Huddersfield packed the midlfield and space was tight. Was always making himself available for the ball forward, there was one or two times he could have turned possibly and played forward but overall a solid display.
  11. This is outrageous! How did he get signal?
  12. Be nice to win the league obviously to have the outright record for the second tier but this just makes us the best at being second best? 😂
  13. Doctor with all due respect this doesn’t make sense, by a team being closer to another doesn’t shift focus, the team although looking over there shoulder still need 3 points to hold off the other team and if we are above them and lose it still catches us up 😂
  14. I had this conversation with a friend not to long ago. I don’t want them to fail, but I do envision at some point they will. Clubs like Brighton are just one incorrect managerial appointment or a couple of poor transfer windows away from becoming mediocre again potentially. Success ultimately means bigger clubs want your manager and players which we have already seen happen for them, they got it right this time and replaced well with De Zerbi but it will cycle again and the challenge will be to keep replacing their talent with more talent and it can often go wrong and when it does it can start to go downhill quickly. unfortunately we are a good example of that!
  15. Exactly this splinter, when we are in that stadium we all represent Leicester City Football Club not just the players on the pitch.
  16. It’s just embarrassing to be honest. When you are winning 4-0 and our fans are streaming towards the turnstiles while the away fans are singing loud and proud and then despite being hammered in the second half stood and applauded there manager and team? It’s stinking support and quite rightly called out as such.
  17. So when the capacity is increased how early will people need to leave to miss the traffic?
  18. Ironic that our song is “when you’re smiling” when we must be the biggest bunch of moaning, grim, boring fans in the country. Thank god Union FS is the still keeping some element of the fan culture alive
  19. Wasn’t just the family stand L1 was half full aswell. Shocking, 4-0 up on Saturday evening and people can’t wait an extra 10 mins to clap the lads off after a game because they want to get home early. Ironically so many people leave now the people who stay the full 90+ get home early aswell. Why dedicate almost all of your Saturday to going to a football match but then not stay till the end to save yourself an hour or two? Baffling to me 🤷🏻‍♂️ As always will await the “I pay my money so will do what I like brigade” to speak up
  20. Michael Owen is that you?
  21. High cross John Lewis (burgess street) is the one to go for mate
  22. If you don’t mind paying for the privilege and ample space and parent and child spaces are super important then the John Lewis car park will be perfect, even the non parent and child spaces are large on every floor so you’ll have no trouble. The high cross car park is the one you want not the John Lewis rooftop*
  23. https://skylab.com/bouncebackability-what-are-the-chances/ really good article on the performance of teams relegated within the pyramid and their chances of promotion etc. over the past 20 years relegated teams into the championship only achieve promotion back to the premier league around 25% of the time either through automatic or playoffs instantly. Shows just how hard it is to get out of this league and also how great are start has really been. IMG_2445.webp
  24. Despite our recent downturn in form and West Broms run we haven’t conceded more than one goal in any of our games this season in the league. If we do lose I can’t see it being by 3 goals like many have mentioned. Tight game I think and one in which will probably suit us due to West Brom not being as defensively minded as other teams. I’ll go for a 2-1 win.
