Because the question then becomes who else do we start? None of Ayew, Reid, or Bilal (in limited gametime) have shown they can really impact a game when starting for us so far We KNOW that Fatawu has that ability to, even if he does get frustrated, and also that Ayew should also really be coming off the bench as well Do we play 60 odd minutes playing with 1 player on the pitch who isn’t really going to do anything, or go with the young kid who on his day unlike the others can tear the other teams defence a new arsehole?

Had a look through left backs at other teams in the Prem that aren't really being used or are out injured and not expected to be used when back: Kieran Tierney Ben Chilwell Matt Targett Harry Toffolo Sergio Reguilón Only one that I would be alright with is Reguilon (on loan)

Can see it being Ayew on the left -
I just watched back the 1st goal we conceded against Fulham, no clue why he does it but on the below as they are about to play the ball for some reason he steps up rather than out wide and just screws himself having to get back Surely as a player you see that you have 2 players in acres of space to your right, surely you move across rather than up the pitch? Not his fault at all though apparently
-
Is it just a massive coincidence then that around half of the goals we have conceded in the Prem this season so far have come from the play coming from his area of the pitch? Do you think he was good today? Did you see him for their 2nd goal?
-
When he is allowing the opposition to get in behind or get balls into the box because of poor positioning, decision making or just crap defending, he absolutely does deserve blame

Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester POST MATCH

Steve Cooper Post Match Cooper on game "We defended really poorly on the two goals. That’s on us in going 2-0 down. Although we got into decent areas, we didn’t play calmly enough at the top end of the pitch so we didn’t maximise the opportunities that we did give ourselves to play. I felt we should have scored off a couple of set plays, we hit the bar, and I really felt we were still in the game. It’s that classic of getting one and seeing what happened. “At half-time was about addressing one or two things, but not loads, and making sure the guys stuck together, believed in the work, believed in themselves and each other, and improved at the top end. We did all of those things. I don’t want to sound like a smart-a*** by saying that I felt we were still in the game, but I genuinely did. I can see the players feeling that as well. But it was about going to do it, and fair play to them, they were brilliant.” Fatawu's impact? “He’s a really exciting young player. He did brilliantly for the club last year. And he’s going to quickly become an exciting Premier League player as well. We’re just in that little transition with him understanding how to develop his game, playing with a bit more variety. When he comes on and plays like he did today and takes opportunities, he’s showing the player that he will be in the Premier League. Kudos to him." Comeback? “What a sign of togetherness. You saw subs in the game, the impact that all of the subs had, players who haven’t even come on the pitch celebrating the win like they’ve played 90 minutes. We need that. I see that every day, the way they train, the way they push each other, they way they are together. God, that really came out in abundance in the second half, as well as playing the way we did. “Hopefully, in a successful season, this day can be memorable for the supporters. Through good and bad moments, I always have respect for them, the money they spend, the travel, the commitment, the emotions, the opinions. It’s really good to see that at the end of the game and how they got behind the team. They really do, to be fair, home and away. I’m really pleased we gave that back to them.” Was the corner a training ground move? “(Set-piece coach) Andrew Hughes will say so! I felt we should have scored off a couple of set-plays in the first half. We missed some good chances. But I think that it was instinctive decision-making and it’s one that we’re really grateful for.” Fans chanting 'We are staying up!' at the end? “I really believe in the team. Myself and the staff, we really enjoy being here and feel we’re part of something great. It’s a Premier League club in every way. Unfortunately they came out and now we come back in. We’ve got to become an established Premier League team again, and we’re just in that process. Everything else is Premier League through and through, even the history. We believe in what we’re doing and we’re on the right path. There’ll be ups and downs, and I find it easier to work in the downs because that’s when you stay on task and believe in your work. We believe we can have a successful season. But, it’s game by game, we can’t get too high or too low, and we have to keep pushing each other.” -
Took a 24 point deduction (and had 1 FT) this week to make quite a few changes to sort my team out going forward - thankfully had a 46 point lead in my work league heading into this gameweek Out - Allison, Saliba, Rogers, Salah, Fatawu, Vardy, Joao Pedro In - Hermansen, Gabriel, Buonanotte, Mbuemo, Maddison, Wood, Watkins Would've got 17 points with the old players I had with Saliba and Salah still play Currently got 21 points from the new players with Gabriel and Wood still to play edit: also just seen Saliba got sent off so going well

With Winks calling that out publically you would hope they will

Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester POST MATCH

Ball had dropped right in front of Vardy with an open goal in front of him about 1 or 2 yards out but their player pulled him back to stop him getting to it -
First choice left back has to be the main target Then also be starting Ricardo at right back Thankfully we seem to be able to get goals from multiple players around the pitch as well so not quite as urgent for me but I do think by then we will probably need to look at a new first choice striker However other than the relegation season we don't really tend to like doing proper business in January unfortunately
-
Fair play he eventually got the tactics right and the right players on the pitch to get us playing like we should have been from the start But we started slowly, playing absolutely diabolical and giving up decent chances regularly throughout the first half which is becoming a regular occurence this season - Spurs, Villa, Everton, Arsenal, and now Southampton As well as also somehow still leaving JJ on the pitch for the full 90 despite being dreadful for both of their goals Unless he makes the changes to the side going forward that we can all see need to happen he still needs to go Ricardo at right back - no more lop sided tactics with full back tucking in and one bombing on either Fatawu, Facundo, Mavididi - these 3 need to start behind Vardy
