The problem is that the water between the English RC Genk is still deep. The atmosphere between both camps is tense. Until further notice, the 20-year-old midfielder will not train with the Limburgers. These are exciting days for Bilal El Khannouss. The Moroccan international has set his sights on a transfer to Premier League promoted Leicester City. The talent has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to make the move to a top competition this summer. Genk gave him the freedom to negotiate with other teams and wanted to cooperate under the right conditions. It saw him as the most expensive outgoing transfer ever and initially aimed at around 35 million euros. "With his talent, he should be able to break the Belgian transfer record", Genk chairman Peter Croonen said a year ago in HLN - before the transfer of Igor Thiago to Brentford (37 million euros). Million Dance In the meantime, Genk's asking price has dropped somewhat, while Leicester made a third bid yesterday evening. According to our information, that is also insufficient. Wait and see if an agreement with Genk will be reached by Friday evening, when the English market closes. El Khannouss himself is waiting impatiently. His camp believes that Genk is asking too high a transfer fee for him and is disappointed that Genk is sticking to its guns at the negotiating table. As a result, El Khannouss decided to withdraw from training this morning, a decision that he motivated in front of the entire dressing room. Which in turn caused dissatisfaction at the club. Genk points out that the agreement is that they, as the selling club, conduct the negotiations and determine the price. In short: both parties are currently diametrically opposed to each other. To be continued. No replacement Genk will not be looking for a replacement for El Khannouss. That has everything to do with Kos Karetsas. The 16-year-old top talent showed again today in the practice match against Fortuna Sittard (2-0) that he is ready for the big job and the club does not want to stand in his way too much. A departure of El Khannouss would once again make the cash register ring in Limburg. By selling Mike Penders - his transfer to Chelsea will be announced soon - Alieu Fadera (Como), Mark McKenzie (Toulouse), Matias Galarza (AC Talleres), Anouar Aït El Hadj (Union), Rasmus Carstensen (FC Köln) and Nicolás Castro (Elche), Racing already collected 37.5 million euros this summer.
  2. UPDATE: El Khannouss and Genk diametrically opposed, Leicester's third bid also insufficient.
  3. Unless we make a pretty good profit on him I don't think it would help us fund a new one would it? We have always been told actual cash isn't the issue but PSR
  4. None of that Prem experience that Cooper wants, will be down to 5th choice once Coady is back Even if Faes does go I don’t think Cooper would use him
  5. Honestly wouldn't put it past them to still sell Cannon but have Ayew as the only new striker!
  6. Leeds offered £13m for Hamer His release clause has expired apparently as well https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/sheffield-united-reject-transfer-offer-from-leeds-united-for-key-man-after-million-miles-away-verdict-coventry-city-4756923?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1724692457-2
  7. Would just about cover the value left on him wouldn't it? Still think we should only be looking to loan him...
  8. Yeah around that, got some decent pace to him for such a big guy as well
  9. Because if he is in the middle it means he has faster players either side of him to help You are also more likely to get caught out for pace on the wide positions because there is a lot more space that the opposition player would drag you out into as you would need to go and engage, not really likely when in the middle
  10. Isaak Touré - 21 year old, 6ft7, left footed centre back at FC Lorient Looks quite impressive even for a side who got relegated
  11. Would be in the correct position and not having to decide whether to cover the middle or the right if Faes hadn't gone for a wander
  12. 1 rare goal from him wont make up for the regular mistakes he makes
  13. Need some clips of how far he went forward when we conceded the first goal as well, caused chaos at the back for everyone else
  14. We wouldn't be able to because of both Kristiansen and Vestergaard When Kristiansen pushes on down the left, JJ tucks in to form a back 3 If we had Vestergaard on the left, for it to work we would need Kristiansen to tuck and JJ to push up (and we know Kristiansen doesn't want to do that) or we would end up with Vestergaard on the left of a back 3 which we can't let happen Obviously if he just changed the tactic it wouldn't be an issue anymore but it doubt that will happen...
  15. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2024/boubakary-soumares-entourage-pushing-for-as-monaco-move/ Boubakary Soumaré’s entourage pushing for AS Monaco move Having seen their midfield options depleted this summer with the departures of Youssouf Fofana, Mohamed Camara and Félix Lemarechal, AS Monaco are open to recruiting another midfielder before the closure of the transfer window in just five days. Lamine Camara has arrived to bolster Monaco’s midfield and he has impressed in the opening two games, despite his late red card in a 2-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais last weekend. However, another element may yet be added, with Adi Hütter reportedly keen to add some more experience in this sector of the pitch. As a result, the Principality club could reignite their interest in Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré (25), as reported by L’Équipe. A new report from the publication reveals that the midfielder’s entourage are even pushing for a move to Les Monégasques, even if Soumaré’s wage could pose a problem. Monaco, who are also exploring other options simultaneously, are yet to make the first move.
  16. Players probably be happy to see him go so they aren't having to try and cover for one of his brain farts anymore The whole defence probably shits themself when he goes on one of runs forward like against Fulham which ended up with the defence all over the place trying to cover for him
  17. I think he is a player we could still somehow get a good fee for even with how dodgy he can be Probably get some decent profit for PSR from him
  18. I think we probably wanted another centre back anyway But would probably explain why we have been linked to other centre backs recently like Victor Nelsson and Odilon Kossounou
  19. Saudi? $$$$$$
  20. It could move also for Wout Faes! Not happy with his current situation, Wout Faes had a talk with #LCFC leaders. Player’s didn’t want to play on the left side of the defense & surprised with the lack of new recruitments in the team... Faes now looking for a solution on a likely departure before the end of the window… Wait&See…

Fuchs is an assistant but does not disguise he would love to be a head coach one day. What’s the dream job? “There’s only one,” he says. “Leicester City.
