  1. Boro getting absolutely battered by Plymouth who have had 17 shots and 9 on target whilst Boro haven't got a single effort on target.
  2. Classic Ipswich goal, miss hit long range shot deflected in by a player who looked offside.
  3. He is. When my boys were younger I remember they wanted to wait outside the ground after a game to get autographs. Ricky was one of the players who took the time to stop, sign autographs and speak to them, as well as other young fans. By contrast, Kasper, for example, drove past everyone at about 60 miles per hour!
  4. On my app our xG was 1.62 against their 1.32. But even that seems much closer that I would have expected given our chances compared to theirs ie the same app says we created 3 big chances and they created none, which seems right.
  5. Class is the word that I always think of when it comes to describing Ricky P. The way he has transitioned effortlessly from being a marauding, attacking full back to playing a totally different, technically very difficult new position shows what a superb footballer he is. It's a crime that a player of his ability is playing in the second tier to be honest. I'm convinced that if he'd not suffered some huge injuries he would be playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe by now. We're very lucky to have him.
  6. No worse than the starting pair for Leeds. Thought Stephy looked dangerous second half tbf but Abdul struggled for sure.
  7. It's a bogey ground for us. That 4-1 loss to them in Rodgers' first end of season bottle job took me a long while to get over; they ended up relegated that season. We couldn't even win there when we won the league and they were newly promoted FFS, got battered for 4 there under Puel, etc, all at times when we were far superior to them.
  8. I'm not sure that Leeds did throw the kitchen sink at us. They never really built up a head of steam and put us under concerted pressure. That's why their crowd was generally silent until the equaliser. Their goals didn't come from good play by them, they just got the rub of the green. For us to get undone by yet another double deflection in a big game is hugely unlucky.
  9. He gets an assist, has a goal wrongfully disallowed and is an integral part of some of the great attacking moves in the second half with some very tidy link up play. Hardly the work of a headless chicken. The miss was bad of course but he's getting into good positions regularly. Cannon probably would have finished it but would he have got into the position in the first place? People are saying how we dropped back and invited pressure towards the end. I think a contributory factor was the removal of Daka. Once he was replaced by Cannon, Leeds knew that they could safely squeeze further up the pitch as Cannon lacks Daka's pace in behind. We offered zero threat after Cannon came on tbh.
  10. Some of these comments are very harsh on Daka. He's got 7 goals and 4 assists in about 10 games. Yeah, he missed a good chance tonight but he makes stuff happen with his pace, mobility and pressing. Strikers miss great chances, look at Vardy last week, for example.
  11. I just don't get how they calculate xG at all. According to the app I use, the xG score was Leeds 1.43 Leicester 1.47. How is that possible when we've missed two 1-on-1s, hit the post and Faes's goal was a free header from about 3 yards out. The same app says we had 3 'big chances' and they had none.
  12. Can't decide if this is a joke aimed at fans who have been leaving games early or you turned off the TV before the end for some reason?!
  13. A wise man said something similar last season....
  14. Forgot about this as was I focused on the QPR game. We always lose here, and we'll play the reserves now the league is getting too close for comfort so a complete waste of time. Limp 2-0 defeat probably.
  15. Not sure I agree with this. None of the strikers have scored many because we have rotated them constantly. The 4 of them collectively have something like 24 goals.
  16. I don't think so. There is always 1 team that starts slow and then is unstoppable for the second half of the season. They'll be in the top 2 for sure. They were terrible for large parts tonight and yet still won 3-1.
  17. It's very interesting how some fanbases are so overtly confident, almost irrespective of how their team are doing. Leeds and Forest spring to mind as 2 prime examples. By contrast, our fanbase very much reflects the city of Leicester, in that we are generally self-deprecating and humble. Personally, I would never publicly state how great are we and say how we're definitely going up, or definitely going to beat team a, b or c, for fear that I would put the mockers on everything. Plus, blowing massive leads to miss out on UCL qualification 2 years running has left me with PTSD when it comes to Leicester City!
  18. Ha, my bad! Didn't notice that! I'm thinking back to his days of shafting us regularly v Big 6 teams in the PL.
  19. Can't remember us ever winning a game that Pawson has refereed. He really does seem to have it in for us. He's also the sort to bottle it in front of a raucous home crowd by giving them a soft pen.
  20. I don't know. They seem to have a totally unbreakable spirit.
  21. That jammy last minute goal has taken the gloss off an almost perfect evening for us. It is truly bizarre that after winning over 75% of our games we're still looking over our shoulders with 3 teams not that far back. Any other season we'd have top 2 tied up by now.
  22. You might have to wait a while, look at their next 6 fixtures....
  23. Anyone know how many injury time goals Ipswich have scored? Mental.
  24. Saints now have 4 home games out of 5 with the away game being at Brum. Leeds play 4 of the bottom 6 consecutively after the game against us. Ipswich now have 7 games where the highest placed team they play is Bristol City, who are 12th.
  25. Yawn, not this again.
