A game on paper we should win easily. But I bet we melt and get spanked.

Very difficult to build a strong mentality when you over pay to the extent we have. Players reach their absolute ceiling (and then some) and there is literally no incentive to improve. Not so much of a problem if you recruit good characters and model pros, but we’ve not only over paid we’ve done so with some absolute willy pullers. I think the term is ‘hoist by your own petard’.

I liked Vassell, and Beckford was a prat by all accounts but he knew where the onion bag was. Both infinitely better than Daka.

No doubt his polo team is as successful as his other sporting operations - us and OH Leuven who are third bottom of their league.

Is there any credible media reports of him being on the brink? Get rid before the game at Derby and I think the players up their levels 5-10% because they want to impress whoever will come in. Let him stay and I think Derby will maul us and it will be incredibly embarrassing (and presumably at that point he will get his P45). At this point we seem to be delaying the inevitable.

Too much of our play is reliant on slowly getting the ball out wide and expecting them to do something world class because we have zero presence up front and not much more coming up from midfield. It’s dysfunctional and easy to defend against.

Plus we have a pretty good points return when he plays.

While he did well at CB it was in a period of the game where Sheff Utd barely came forward and he was able to step into midfield quite a lot.

Has he promised a rebuild? If up for it as long as Top includes himself in it
