When you’ve been paid shit loads here, reached your earnings ceiling and become a wealthy man who will never need to work again - why would you give a shit? And that’s what we’ve seen. The only way around that is to recruit good characters, people who have a burning desire to improve and improve. Daka and Ayew are hardly lighting up the league, but they’re our only first team strikers and both leaving in June. We’ve terminated the loan of another one who was crap. So we’re relying on 2 players who know they won’t be here next season to score goals, and who are crap. Again, what competent DoF in charge of overseeing squad building lets it get to that position? But of course we are limited by the PSR position that has been imposed upon us, and something we’ve had no control over 🤣

He probably had 10-12 good games out of 92. Hardly a good return on the investment

Blaming the PSR position as if it’s been imposed on him 🤣 he has form on this. I remember him saying it in his programme notes before.

I think we get an ageing manager - perhaps a bit of a dinosaur - who feels sorry for Aiyawatt and Rudkin - and has nothing to lose or prove, or a young/up and coming manager who sees this is a step up. We’ve gone too far to get anyone with a decent track record in the prime of their career.

As Matty Fryatt says as well, he’s been around a couple of set ups with us that haven’t worked and he’s been a big part of it…
