I think today for me makes a new level of apathy. I didn’t watch and I wasn’t bothered because I knew what would happen. Commentators from other clubs always comment on how our players and squad are stronger. So if we lose or don’t beat inferior opposition it’s either the managers game plan that is not working or their attitude stinks. In our case it’s both. In FM24 you can sell our shit players for mega bucks. I think I sold Vestergaard for £20m and others for even more. I think I may have got £40-50m for Faes. Very odd.

I was thinking this morning it’s another level of toxic. A different era, but compare the character to previous sides like from the M’ON era - it’s embarrassing. The likes of Walsh, Elliott, Taggart, Lennon, Izzet etc… all leaders oozing character. Pearson did used to talk about recruiting the right characters and we need to get back to that. For too long players have come here for a pay day and we’ve collected a bunch of characterless and spineless willy pullers. Am sick of the lot of them, with the exception of 1 or 2 and the young lads.

That the nucleus of this side won’t be here next season. It’s not our first rodeo where most players are of contract and or don’t give a ****, and yet we don’t learn. I wonder who is the responsible person overseeing squad building?

I’ve no idea why they’re still here. Not good enough, and just because they’re local lads doesn’t mean they get a contract for life. We’re not a charity, though we might as well be with the money we’ve shanked on total dross over the years.

A lot of players who played tonight were bought to strength a squad regularly playing in Europe, and now this… how can you get it that wrong over such a sustained period? And then add willy pullers like Ayew and BDCR. It’s a total shambles, and I’m not arsed now about missing games and often choose to do so.
