Yea I remember watching them a lot on Football Italia in the 90s. There is a Leicester link as well with the likes of Mancini and Sven, and they played in blue. Also had the feel of a similar size club punching above their weight so had the same underdog vibe about them. Sad to see how far they’ve dropped. -
Not sure if you’re being serious or not, but a younger me thought he looked very promising. But he had a very disappointing career - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Canero

Sampdoria relegated to Serie C for first time in their history. Funnily enough I was bought their 91-92 Scudetto winning shirt recently and have always had a soft spot for them. I might make it a thing to follow teams in the shit! -
Tomi Petrescu was absolutely gold dust on a version or two of Champ Man. Once he’d developed he guaranteed you 25-30+ goals a season.

In other years this is not really newsworthy, but highlighting a new recruit has left after 2 weeks speaks to how we’re run these days. Perhaps that was the motivation behind the toilet stealer breaking this story. Didn’t Guy Branston used to do this role? Perhaps it’s a trend that the person who has this role gets themselves in a bit of pickle.

While I posted earlier to say an absolute no to Dyche, perhaps Dyche and his no nonsense style is the man to tell Top where all the problems are…

If they can’t beat us in this state it really is their own doing. I’ve said all season they are a one dimensional mid table team (at best) who are having a good season. We’ll make that a good first 30 games. -

Dyche has relevant experience, but to flip flop between a tippy tappy manager (Enzo) to a dinosaur (Cooper) back to a tippy tappy manager (RvN) to now being linked back to a dinosaur (Dyche) just shows how clueless and lacking in strategy our board are. If you were ever in doubt a change is needed across the board, then there is no doubt now.

I’ve heard that as well from a very good source

What an effort from young Monga going into an environment like that and in a team like ours. Showed more energy and quality than donkeys like Ayew.
-
I thought he’d cocked that up then. Messing their season up may be the highlight of ours!
-
Says it all really - get in a good position and overhit a needless pass. Just shoot man!
-
It’s so poor and non existent going forward. Really annoying because at the back it’s not been THAT bad today, but if you have no passages of play or nothing going forward it’s really pointless turning up.

In some ways the shambolic state of the club is fast-tracking Monga and Evan’s pathway to the first team. If we were still flying high in Europe these guys wouldn’t get a sniff. I hope you’re right and we start to give these guys minutes and transition them to first team action. Otherwise what was the point of moving to Seagrave and building these world class facilities. We’re finally getting a pipeline of world class young talent, and we need to embrace that. I remember when we went down with Basset/Adams and thinking Jon Ashton, Jon Stevenson and Pipes were the future. Pipes was good obviously, but this crop is on another level to what we could produce in those days.

They look knackered and have lost a few key players tonight and recently. I reckon we could take something from them. Hmm perhaps not…

Type 58,008 and then turn it upside down…

Can’t stand Yates’ generic teenager haircut either
-
He’ll be at someone like Watford in a few years. He’s not a player for a team with aspirations to be toward the top of the PL. Not even mid table. He’s what Hamza was for us under Rodgers.
-
Nothing says Premier League like the home team scoring and a bloke behind the goal in the home end wearing a half/half scarf sat there like he’s in a library with his arms crossed.
-
With our track record on negotiating contracts straight off the bat we’ll offer him £100,000 a week 🤣

Did she blow the bladdy doors off?

Has Rohl said he’s settled in the area then?

Like him as a well rounded and all round keeper. Makes sense to sell Mads as he’s an asset (but market for keepers is smaller…), and even better he’s an academy product as well whose value can only increase.
