Just got my tickets to Roddy Woomble (Lead singer from Idlewild) doing an acoustic gig at Union Chapel in London on 13th Feb. Should be great.

Today was supposed to be my first day down at Fortis bank, but got a call as I was leaving the house telling me not to come in until tomorrow. SO I duly went back to bed for a few hours! Bit of a bummer as I am contracting and could have done with an extra day's work seeing as I am totally broke until I get paid.

The immigration tribunal service should be on this list somewhere for denying my girlfriend's perfectly legitimate graduate visa application on the grounds that she applied a day too early. Wankers. Oh and the other case in the court was some guy who'd come from Afghanistan in the back of a lorry, who it seems was allowed to stay... on the basis that he was not in the taliban. Equality gone mad!

I just downed 2 cups of coffee so I have some potassium and caffeine for my run this morning..

My mate has a compact canon; it can do those colour effects on the screen. He went totally over the top using it but he was in the far east so got some interesting shots of locals in bright clothing etc. It would be pretty cool to do this effect at a Leicester game.

Great again. From the colour effects I'm guessing you use a Canon? You really have the composure of portrait photos nailed down. Good stuff. Some more polar bear shots from my Canada trip a few months ago:

It's a great photo but unusual in colour.... almost seems over saturated.

Apologies, I just looked up the route I took and it is Sandane in Gloppen, not Sandefjord on the east coast. A really beautiful area, definitely reccommend it.

I don't really bother with January sales, I find the chaos a little overwhelming and almost never buy anything worthwhile. There are some good flight sales on at the moment, the KLM and BA january sales in particular a good this year.

Was just about to ask if that's the witchery! My girlfriend is running the Edinburgh marathon in May so I'll make a booking this time, as last time we couldn't get in.

My gf has the same camera, and for a compact camera it takes very good pictures, I just find it has big big problems with UV light. With an SLR you can buy a filter, but I guess in the fence photo it shows up a bit, it's a shame you can't see the sun itself.
