Yes a direct flight unless there is a massive saving. I flew to Florida via a stop off in New York for around 8 hours as it was a great price for the 4 of us. At the time I said I would not do it again as it made the travelling even more tiring. Landing getting off, finding something to do re boarding etc... we just found it a pain and ultimately not worth the saving With only 17 hours in between, you will spend time at the airport waiting to get off the plane, immigration controls, there could be a delay going which impacts the time in Montreal, traffic to and from the airport in Montreal etc...

Mine was when they said within 3 years they wanted to win something and be in Europe. Would have given anything at the time to see that happen
