He’s 90/91 off the tee and six shots clear! do Augusta have to just suck it up or do they change it a bit next year with some rough in amongst the trees in prone areas ? I’m guessing you just suck it up rather than change the whole ethos of the course for one player. The firmness this year makes some of his rescue shots a lot better with such long run.

I believe that it’s set this level because it delivers best fuel consumption. but its also the speed that HGVs travel at so you’ll have cars and lorry’s occupying the same space on motorways. I’m not sure that the standard of driving in this country makes this a good idea. Too many impatient drivers who will be breaking the speed limit. perhaps we would see more accidents but fewer fatal ones because speed is less of a factor ??

Apparently we’re very cross that the Russians are mapping our undersea cable networks connecting us to the continent and americas. I’d hope that we’d be doing exactly the same with vital Russian comms networks. You won’t be able to do this kind of stuff if war does break out. You have to be prepared. I guess my question is - the Russians are doing it, they will know that we know they’re doing it. Is the govt announcing it to push the narrative back into public discourse that Russians = bad ?

How do people decide what they choose to believe from trump and what they choose not to believe ? he’s made so many threats over the past 14 months (usually something to do with hell) and never really followed them through. Why do people think he’s serious rather than just trying to raise the stakes ? However, the Iranian regime (as mentioned above) have nothing to lose because this is totally existential for them as a regional power so I’m not sure why he thinks this approach will work. looking at the bombings today of the railway lines and some roads, I wonder if this lays the ground for establishing a bridge head of ground troops with no ability of the IRGC to get to them via rail or road. Again it could be to try and convince Iran that it’s coming and to make a deal of some kind. (Obvs one America would accept).

just as long throws came back into fashion, you wonder if players on both posts will do the same. It’s possible that the Americans sent weapons destined for Iranians to help them try and rise up against the regime to a Kurdish group aligned to Iran. I suppose that level of ineptness shouldn’t surprise anyone.
