Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)
st albans fox replied to iancognito's topic in Transfer Talk
Ayew is certainly older than any non defensive player I can recall buying for a number of years. But we’re going to be in a scrap and we need players who’ve been through that. BDCR is similar. -

I’m guessing we were trying to get soule ‘on the cheap’. Percy reported our interest at 21m. Roma didn’t pay a lot more than that before add ons he won’t be expensive -

No objection to this if the fee is below £6m (considering his age) on a three year deal Some of the comments in this thread indicate that too many of us are still stuck in the past - we aren’t that club anymore any established PL player is not below our level -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
st albans fox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
We could voluntarily rush though figures to end June 24 and ask for it all to be dealt with at the same time in one single hearing. Thus avoiding a second commission and penalty next March/april. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

We’re not sure about that as no charges for period ending 30 June 24 would be issued until later this year. I’d be surprised if 90m from Barnes, kdh, castagne and enzo was quite enough. The breach should not be as high as previous year though. And remember we’re running at allowable 83m rather than 105m. certainly the initial deduction would be somewhere between 6 and 10 points which would hopefully be reduced on appeal. There may be a second one in March/April based on last season. -
The yanks will ensure that doesn’t happen, even if Israel’s very existence was really threatened. A country surrounded by neighbours who really don’t want it there - I guess their nuclear capability is the ultimate deterrent.
-
Some chat that the delay in Israel’s response to Saturday is to allow western countries to evacuate their nationals - no one knows what hezbollah’s response to a substantial attack will be. It could easily continue to escalate to all out war.

If found guilty -
Is the police definition for ‘terror related’ available for the public to peruse? and looking at the OBR letter and sentiments, what on earth was hunt doing reducing NI twice over the last nine months of the Tory administration ??? I reckon labour could easily take that back up to previous levels without public outcry because we can see it was a straight election bribe without fiscal foundation.

Of course many people are jumping to conclusions about where the perpetrator of this mornings dreadful stabbing was from. Are they an illegal immigrant ? Are they an immigrant ? and then they’re saying that it will be put down to mental illness. Are there any studies as to whether people who come here and seek asylum are more likely to suffer from mental illness with severe episodes? Many will have had a v tough time in their own country followed by an incredibly stressful journey here. The mental health systems here are simply not fit for purpose - it should be no surprise if people have come here who need support and just don’t get it. another reason to get our infrastructure sorted out before we accept too many people. Of course exactly the opposite has happened under the previous administration.

Why are people blaming cooper ? He doesn’t sign players the recruitment team are responsible for identifying targets (based on a range of requirements) the coach will be asked if he objects -
Just stop oil now blocking departure gates at gatwick I recall their main demand was to stop issuing new oil and gas licences milliband has done this so I guess like most protest groups, the goalposts will keep on moving so they retain a raison d’etre

Everything will end so sanitised there will only be a few words that are acceptable ! I mean it’s a stereotype remark but is it offensive. @FoxesDeb ?

Much more nuanced than that. There are approx 1 million Druze in the Middle East majority of Druze live in Syria. (600k) around 150k Druze live in Israel.and golan. Approx 30% in golan where few have taken Israeli citizenship on offer to them. They are permitted to travel freely and work in Israel. The other 110k live within Israel’s internationally accepted borders with full civil rights ( and therefore serve in the IDF. ). netenyahu’s govts have not helped the golan Druze with its progressive settlement policy. Ministers who attended some of the funerals yesterday did not receive much of a welcome.
-
There is some nuance here the kids were all Druze. I assume Druze who hadn’t taken full Israeli rights as they are in the very north of the Golan. Israel would however consider them to be part of its civilian population. Word is that Israel will not go overboard on its response. I suspect that is what they are hoping Hezbollah are thinking. wouldn’t be surprised to see a huge strike on Hezbollah weapons dumps.
-
Whether you believe them or not, the IDF will claim that they are targeting Hamas fighters and Hamas infrastructure.and that Hamas embeds itself in civilian areas. I made the point yesterday about secondary explosions. Hamas and Hezbollah are often using much less advanced weapons which means they are fired in a general direction and land where they land. I’m surprised that Hezbollah didn’t own up to yesterday’s strike and apologise for a terrible mistake.

Been on bbc website with explanation of what’s going on a little confused - what did people expect to see when a pc has her nose broken and two others require hospital treatment??? The right on twitter seem to feel that being assaulted gives the police the right to assault the perpetrators with a boot to the head. Perhaps says a lot about the right on twitter - certainly no appreciation of the nuances of the law.

Apparently going so long on the same tyres may have worn away 1.5kg + of rubber if you’re one stopping then have to load more fuel to compensate this is incorrect- they drain the fuel before final weighing. So the team would have had to add weight to the car to compensate for a one stop strategy.

Good business from Southampton cant believe Villarreal didn’t get a higher fee than that Suppose the player decided where he wanted to go
