  1. Disagree You don’t play poker and show your hand we aren’t close to a deal - I agree with that. My point is that we havent heard from his camp where they’ve dismissed it.
  2. This could be a Mexican stand off where we’ve offered a loan with obligation but requested Arsenal to cover 40% of his wages this season. For all we know the kid might actually want to come here. my point is that we know v little and to just dismiss any possible deal could be premature
  3. You mean junior docs - the GP’s have just voted to ‘work to rule’ 😀
  4. Base rate cut to 5% but was close vote 5-4 so maybe a few months before another drop
  5. We don’t know anything about his motives, origin etc etc what we do know is that too many young people walk around armed with a knife
  6. And probably no riots in Southport
  7. I’m confused
  8. That looks like spotters have singled him out as needing to be removed. He either has form or he’s done something earlier.
  9. It’s in the rules - can’t account for might be scenarios. The numbers say that you’re likely to breach. Nearly every club can say that they have assets that can be sold pre end June to meet obligations. So the efl would then struggle to police their own rules.
  10. You’re forgetting that their coach knows how shite he is ….
  11. Are you for real ? name them if you believe that
  12. Of the six listed as Hamas hierarchy (in Gaza and Qatar) on oct 7, three remain alive. (Al zahar, moshaal in Qatar and sinwar beneath Gaza unless he managed to escape to Egypt through tunnels before Israel took control of the Philadelphi corridor)
  13. Sinwar has been target no 1 for Israel since Oct 7 - - but he’s living in tunnels and probably keeps his location restricted to a few that he trusts! Deif popped above ground to meet a Kahn younis commander two weeks ago and discovered the risks of leaving the tunnels and being with someone who’s close confidants you’re not sure about.
  14. Slight nuance - he lives in Qatar - but he visits his paymasters in Tehran so often that he seems to have ‘a home’ there too. (Assuming the beeb are correct on that one). EDIT: it seems the bbc have misinterpreted ‘residence’ in Iranian reports as being his home. It isn’t. It’s simply where he was staying. wonder how this affects Gaza - haniyeh was more of a political mastermind whereas sinwar is a master of all trades and may now be emboldened to go in a direction that haniyeh had told him was ‘out of bounds’.
  15. We’re already suffering from the trade and inflationary affects of the Red Sea blockade by the Houthis not sure a war in s Lebanon will make any difference BUT Iran will surely respond to haniyeh being assassinated on its territory. Israel has most definitely crossed a red line by killing him - they wouldn’t do it whilst he was living in Qatar because the USA consider Qatar an ally (for now). Thats potentially the number 2 or 3 in hezbollah and no 1 in Hamas both killed within 8 hours.
  16. I can confirm that Sunil is never the smartest in the room 😜
  17. As others have mused, it’s about immigration for those rioting and what religion or ethnicity is largely irrelevant to them.
  18. What information? if you mean the identity of the attacker - he’s 17 and can only be identified on the instruction of a judge.
  19. You’ve not looked at social media much since yesterday morning then ……..
  20. Hezbollah are not Palestinian. They take direct instructions from Tehran and are made up of majority Lebanese fighters. There will be a significant number of Palestinian members from families who were refugees in s Lebanon and Beirut.
  21. Israel’s response to Saturday is to attempt to assassinate one of hezbollah’s top military men, (also wanted re the 1983 killing of 241 US marines) initially it was claimed that he had escaped the attack, leaving the building shortly before. Now sources are quoted as saying he was killed. I guess we’ll never actually know but there will be a huge funeral tomorrow. if he had survived then it was hoped that hezbollahs response may not be so large. Now it’s said he has died, they will no doubt go big on an attack on Israel. They had earlier managed to kill a civilian in a n kibbutz with a rocket that got through iron dome defences although that was just part of the daily exchange of fire. if they do go big then how does the region avoid escalation to an all out conflict?
  22. This is the PL Only promoted players on long term championship contracts earn that if you’re an established PL player then you’re on absolute min 35k. I haven’t looked up ayew but I’d suspect he’s on around 50k
  23. Our sales (amortised values ) in 23/24 were 90m+. Add to that the large saving in wages and I can see how we may have managed to get close in period ending 23/24 but failed substantially to end June 22/23.
  24. Most here would be delighted then as he wouldn’t sign!
