For those that whinge whatever and fail to acknowledge the many successes this season, it's worth pointing out we're not winning most games by sheer luck - it might just be that your cognitive dissonance won't allow you to concede that you might be preventing yourself seeing the statistically obvious.

The idea of being a supporter is that you support, regardless of result or quality. To use the style of play as the reason for not doing so is to make excuses. The blame lies partially with the club, partially with people having pathetic attention spans and partially because we're all incredibly spoilt and used to instant gratification.

So much respect to you - what you are asked to do is horrific, and I think it unlikely that any of us will judge you for your responses, none of which is entirely within your control. I dare not advise much - but I suspect opening up to your wife might be the most important step.
