  1. Nothing wrong with that either, It's just at the level we are at now and trying to build a new team keeping them all similar can breed harmony anongst the squad. Instead of someone intimidating them. But equally the right senior player could be a great influence to them also. I'm thinking of Huth as one example or even O Neill though he was the Manager. Maybe Russell can bring that experience to them, time will tell and we'll know soon. I just hope he's learned that you have to mix it up. There's no one system that works every time. You have to mix it up at times if only to confuse the opposition.
  2. Given that we're financially strapped at this level a loan would suit us nicely. There's some great young lads at Utd and Man City that would help us out this season. Just imagine bringing in someone like Ayew to play with young players. He'd intimidate them. But a good young prospect could be a blessing and who knows they may want to sign for us next season.
  3. My thinking on the loaning from the big Clubs is it's cost effective plus they have plenty of good players just looking for an opportunity to get playing. Bringing in older players is great if it works and they score lots of Goals. But they can also intimdate the young players and put them in their place. When what we want is for them to blossom and express themselves. We should be able to find a young player who is on the way up. A bit like how we found Vardy.
  4. Surely we can loan a striker from either of the Manchester Clubs for a season. Especially after Man city getting Monga from us.
  5. I like Nelson as a player but he needs to toughen up and get some agression going into his game. Which I suspect he will learn soon.
  6. Sell anyone that's saleable and clear out the failures and start a total rebuild with a new focus. We don't want any off our pressent failures like Hamza , Skip, etc influencing any of the new young players coming into the team. Let the grow and mature as a new unit without any baggage.
  7. Yes I can see why some players don't like them but a simple heavy bruising or scrapping down the bone can leave a player missing many games which is not desirable.
  8. Hopefully Middlesbrough bite and we get rid of him. He was always a dodgy signing.
  9. Using 27 players at this stage is understandable given that Russell has never seen many of them play before. It also keeps moral and hopes high while he works out his best options going forward. Especially for the young Academy players looking for that break into the senior game. I suspect he'll settle on 16 to 17 players to make up the squad for the start of the season. Which should be plenty. I expect more outgoings and a few incoming before the season starts to allow them the time to bed them into the Team.
  10. Definitely, He's coming into a league with plenty of cloggers who will happily kick lumps out of him to stop him. If I were the Manager I'd insist that they all wear them.
  11. No surprise there, Skipp couldn't pick his Nose, Never mind a forward Pass. Hopefully he'll be gone soon.
  12. I'd say the fact Leeds have left it this long will work against them.
  13. Before the wedding: She: Hello! He: Ah, I’ve been waiting for this for so long! She: Do you want me to leave? He: NO! Not even in my dreams! She: Do you love me? He: Of course! Absolutely! Her: Have you ever cheated on me? He: NO! What makes you think that? She: Do you want to kiss me? He: At every opportunity! She: Would you ever hit me? He: Are you crazy? She: Can I trust you? He: Yes. She: Honey! After the wedding… read the dialogue from bottom to top!
  14. Smallbone would be a good capture, confident and good on the Ball in possession.
  15. Hopefully you are right. We can do so much better for a lot less.
  16. Great to hear theres competition for him. Provided we use the money wisely which I'm not too confident about.
  17. Hamza doesn't look to bright either in that photo.
  18. I meant to say Cottee who done quite well for us.
  19. Very true, But we have to start somewhere, Ings doesn't fill me with any confidence whatsoever. It just strikes me as a weak signing, hoping that he can reclaim his scoring ability without offering anything to the team. He's no Howard, Vardy or Phillips.
  20. I'd sooner we sign a young hungry up an coming Striker than Ings. Who knows, maybe we get lucky again with another Vardy type success.
  21. If he's not turning up for Training he's clearly in breach of Contract and the Club should sack him. Unless of course Rudkin forgot to cover that in the Contract. Like the Winks situation.
  22. Finally things are starting to look up. Did we manage to get any compensation for him. Just asking.
  23. Based on the above, He already sounds like a better Manager than RM.
  24. Surely if he wants to terminate his Contract we don't owe him anything and he should be compensating the Club.
