Thanks for the update. Aside from the Slackers I don't think our players are nearly fit enough compared to other clubs. That's aside from ours being a buch of pussy's who get pushed over too easily.

Thanks for the update, I thought he was a real manager. He'd fit in well in our Club so. Plenty of planks playing last night.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Clever Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree with you except for the last sentance. There are a few mercenaries in the squad that need to be got rid off. He doesn't have anyone else he can pick from except maybe the development squad and it's problably not right to throw them into this mess at this stage of the season. The only way he can deal with it is as I said above, Roast the players who are not doing enough and hope you get a reaction from them. -

The problem is he can only replace bad players with different bad players and that's not down to him. I'm not suggesting he is the answer but he does deserve some sympathy for the mess he was handed. -

Ruud needs to light a fire under the players. The effort being shown by many is just unacceptable. Call them out and name them even if it's just amongst the squad. Soumare's effort to block the cross for the first goal was appalling, Players standing around in the box but challenging nobody. Kicking it out to touch for no reason and no effort to get back when they broke and nearly got a third goal. I don't see any point in changing him now. Lets just have a clearout in the Summer. If he does go give it to BBM and King to see out the season. Maybe they might show enough to get the job fulltime. -
Genuine question, Who is he, He certainly looks like he would'nt take any crap from the players.
-
They're just not good enough.
-
I can't stand a manager that doesn't show any passion during a game.

West Ham United away, AKA eat, sleep, Decordova-Reid repeat.

You just know Bowen is going to score against us. He always does. We should have signed him when we had a chance from Hull years ago. -
So sadly missed, Get well soon.. We certainly need you back home big man.
-
I just want to see us get our Nose in front for a change. Instead of always having to chase the game. Then see how we cope.
-
Talbi from Club Brugge looks a good player for the right wing and should'nt cost too much. V Pavlidis of Benfica looks a decent Center Forward to lead the line if we could get him.
-
We really need the younger players like McAteer and Facundo to step up and deliver something when they get a chance. Like El Kanousse has. McAteer was scoring a few goals before his injury, now he's never in a scoring position when we get forward. Facundo has a lot of talent but he just needs ro learn how to pass and move instead of always trying to beat someone.

This is it. Personnaly I wouldn't mind a second year in the Championship if it got us back on the right tracks while the young players find their feet. -
Seagrave is a wonderful facility , But you've got to put in top quality Coaches to get the most out of it. Thisshould be treated as a totally separate project to the First team. Though obviously with the First team to benifit from any prodigious talent we develop along the way. We should be scouring the world for top young talent bring them in and put them up in Seagrave on a modest payment. Then decide in say 3 or 6 Months who to keep on and who to let go home again. They just need to be good enough to sell on for a profit even a modest one. They don't all have to be first team quality though it would be great if a few of them made the step up every year or two. To save us a fortune in the Market in future years. I know it wouldn't be cheap to set up properly in our current situation but certainly doable when Seagrave is paid for. The other thing that would help is to stop giving rediculous salaries to very average players. If they don't like it let them sign for someone else. There's plenty of players out there.

Honestly, I would have preferred it if Ruud had brought in a Top Dutch Coach to help him out. Someone with a proven record of improving players.

That's all It's just a sensible business decision to challenge recent events. If the Aot hasn't supplied the customers during the pandemic then it's unreasonable to expect companies continue to pay pre pandemic prices.

Cooper had the team at it's freshest early season and lets be honest we were very lucky in most of those early games. He also had NDiddi then before his injuryand Mads before his. I'm not saying Ruud is the answer but Ruud has had to operate without both as well as not knowing the players he had to pick from. Ward in his first game a shining example. You can actuly see structure and paterns of play in Ruuds teams. No he's not Enzo but given time and a chance to bring in his own signings I think he can do a job here. Many Fans wanted Enzo out early doors and look were he has Chelsea in half a season. Our current problems are more to do with the quality of the squad and that's down to Rudkin, Glover and Cooper and Rogers. Not Ruud. When he get's to sign a couple of his own players then we'll see how good he can be. But at least he had the players putting in a real effort last Saturday. If he can keep that level of committment from them we're bound to win some more games despite the failings within the squad. -

He was a disaster here. He said he didn't mind losing pre season friendlies, Then continues to lose when the season started. Then he says something like he expects players to know how to play the game. His signings are the reason we're in such a mess now. Ruud is having to work with his failings. -
I'm disappointed in Mavididi, He hasn't kicked on this season. I was expecting to see him continue from last season even though the opposition would be better. But he hasn't. When he does get to play he goes on solo runs too often instead of involving others in progressing the ball up the Pitch. He needs to work harder at his game which we haven't seen any evidence of. Bilal has more skill in his little toe. Mav could learn a lot from him. I wouldn't be opposed to trying him down the middle though, Where defenders might be afraid to tackle him. Or even on the right where he can cut inside also. However until we get Ricardo back to help ot throw in a couple of the young players it's hard to see where the next win will come from.

I feel sorry for the players today, They gave it everything in terms of effort but just not good enough. The poor decisions in recruitment the past few seasons are costing us dearly. The patterns of play were better today when braking forward, but our lack of pace and a physical presence is costing us every game we play. Not sure what Ruud can do with the players he has to choose from except keep working with them trying to find something. -
I thought we should have signed him a few seasons ago when he was playing well and scoring adecent few goals to help win games. Now it's too late. We need to find young hungry players for all positions.
-
We should have taken the money but he's here now until the Summer. If Iwasd him I'd be busting a gut to show waht I can do between now and the Summer. I think he just needs to toughen up a bit and move a bit quicker, Then he'll have a decent career in the game.
-
He was such a modest man who never promoted himself unlike many of the modern players. I always thought he was the better keeper between him and Shilton. He was one of the first to demonstrate just how important an Art Goalkeeping is. Rip Gordon. Your legacy will live on.

Cheap doesn't have to mean poor or bad players. It's all about who is doing the picking. Think of Mahrez, Kante. You can find that quality if you search enough. Buy cheap build and sell high.
