MK Dons (a) 29/8 12.30pm prematch thread
Clever Fox replied to Salieri's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was talking about his combines losses at Southampton, Rangers and us now. At Rangers it was 11 losses I believe, Here with us 3 losses and Southampton I think was half a season of straight losses which is roughly 23 games plus 14 is 37 Games since he has won a competetive game. That's some kind of special record to have. Surely reality must hit home and he realizes something needs to change in his methods if he's ever going to get success. -

This is a must win game now surely for RM. How many competitive games is it now without a win including his last few Clubs. Well into double figures. I'd like to see him play pretty much the same team as Tuesday night except Alves in for Cullen. If not Alves then Chaplin. -
There's no doubt he was poor last night and I like him as a keeper. I think his confidence was shuck when he was dropped for the first game and he was edgy last night. I hope Martin points out his mistakes last night but plays him on Saturday because thats the only way to imrpove him.

Harry Howell - Signs On Loan From Brighton
Clever Fox replied to Bert's topic in Leicester City Forum
The move were feigned to stop then put on the after burners was a bit special. A bit more fitness and he seems like the perfect right winger for us. Now if we could only sign a big lump in the middle to get on the end of his crosses he cut inside a few times because he had no one to aim at. -
Ayew at least got on the Ball and scored a few goals. Cullen offers nothing.

The Starting team tonight with a few adjustments would comfortably win league 1.
-
Should have crossed to Howel that time.

This team tonight is like a breath of fresh air to what we've seen so far this season. Bright and adventurous with pace. Great stuff.

Watson loves to shoot. well done

I don't think it is his best position for a few reasons. He's skillful but not quick enough for a Winger. He's not left footed which is why he never goes on the outside prefering to cutback inside. What he does have is quick feet with the Ball, He's a good passer of the Ball, Which helps in tight area's and an eye for Goal. Which is why I think he's more suited to a midfield role. He also played in the middle in preseason where he done well and scored. But it doesn't matter what we think it's down to Russell and he needs to find solutions quickly.

A win tomorrow night would lift everyone's spirits. Though going on what we've seen I can't see it happening. -
And he played the Ball forward unlike Skipp.

I'm sure he'll play tomorrow night to put him in th Window. -
If he turns quicker than Vesty or Souttar that will be a big bonus.

Maybe it's just me, But I saw a big improvement in Jakub during the pre season games. Playing with his feet and coming way out off his goal line. Something he never done before. Even his punching and catching of crosses was so much better than last season. Where he used to stay on his goal line. We've all seen him makes saves he had no right to get, yet somehow he kept the Ball out of the Net. Let him play and keep improving while also increasing his value, as opposed to playing McCarthy.
-
I thought Aluko done ok yesterday, bringing an energy that's so badly lacking in defense. He made a few surging runs forward offering support to the attackers. With more game time he'll kick on and be a good addition to the team.
-
He certainly isn't as good a keeper as Jakub. Plus there's a lot of upside with Jakub wheras McCarthy is on the way down.

Did he not realise we were losing 2 nil at that time, And the Goal we scored came from a long pass and getting the Ball into the box. He needs to understand how to get results. Possession means nothing if you don't get results as in Goals. -
I don't understand why Jakub was dropped in the first place. He has improved his footwork and taking crosses as seen in preseason. He would have saved the first Goal. McCarthy made no effort.
