  1. Well we've tried all the so called Strikers, who have proved useless for 42 games. Personnaly I'd play Okoli up top, He's brave and a bit of a Roughhouse player. He would upset defenders and might just do enough to help us win a few games.
  2. Ideally we need 8 points from 12. That's a big ask for most teams, never mind 1 as weak as ours. While I have sympathy for Rowett with the squad he inherited. I don't think he's done enough to deliver Goals which is what we need to win games. At this late hour I'd go route one with Vesty or Okoli up top.
  3. Agreed with what you say, I'm sure the regulator is busy but I would have thought his remit is to looks at all issues in Football and make recommendations where he sees fit. I understand under 18s are not allowed to sign Contracts for good reason in most cases. But Football is a special industry, and so maybe special conditions need to be made help parents and young players. Then as you say maybe sign a new Contract at 18. Like I said some Club is going to challenge it based on the measly compensation being currently offered.
  4. You make some valid points, but we can still be smarter in dealing with players and parents. I also think there's a legal challenge to the current system not to far away. The big clubs can't be allowed to get away with fleecing the smaller clubs who in some cases has spent years developing these kids. The whole area needs to be re examined by the Regulator with a view to making it fairer to smaller Clubs.
  5. While these may be the elite Clubs. Not everyone wants to sign for a big club. Some would be overcome by the pressure and others might see themselves not good enough for a big Club. The point is theres thousands of young kids starting out right now who will the backbone of Football for years to come. They may not all be Ronaldo or Harry Kane. Why can't we get lots of them in and improve them and see where it takes us.
  6. Agreed, Who wants to be helping them. But business is business and needs must. And while both sets of Fans have rivalries. I'll bet at Corporate level the Clubs get on well.
  7. The system does work. Look at Chelsea and Man city with lots of Juniors. I do agree the Club needs to be run right first. Then Clubs like us need to take a stand against poaching. By being smarter in their Contracts or legally challenge the current system. Which most fans agree is q failed system. We have a wonderful facility why not make maximum use of it. Though sadly might have to wait until we get back on the right path.
  8. I totally agree, I don't even know if they have insurances for young players. God forbid but imagine the likes of Monga getting a serous injury and losing the big Salary he's on now at 16 years of age.
  9. Agreed, But that's not a reason to get rid of it. It's a wonderful facility that we have at present. That many other clubs are envious off. We won't always be in this position. Things always change in Football. As I said run right it can be a big income maker going forward.
  10. No it isn't. It's the long term future of the Club if run properly. Bring in young players for little cost and sell for a big profit. It's also a very specialised facility. That wouldn't be easy to sell unless it was for Football.
  11. It would make good business sense to share the facility with one or more Clubs. Especially in the short term to bring in money.
  12. I can 100% relate to this article. As a young player playing for a pro club. I done my Cartilage. The Surgeon said I'd be better retiring otherwise I could end up crippled. This was early 60s No operations to fix it in those days. I also chose to retire. I never heard from the Club again. This why young players need to be educated of potential downturns in there careers. And I think and hope things have improved for players today.
  13. He's part of the problem we are where we are. But I believe the real problem is KP parent Co don't want to invest any more money into the club. Maintly because they're not football people. Or is it because they're not happy with how Top is running the Club.
  14. This is all very questionable. Is it Amotized payments due from earlier transfers. Or is it something else.? We know from the old days transfers happened between the Clubs. We sign someone for say 5 million we hand over 5 and get the player. That's it. When you introduce more compelxity into transfers you create an environment for corruption. Which I believe is rampant in the Game today.
  15. Physical players is the Key to most of the successful teams. Unlike the squad we have, a bunch of weaklings apart from Okoli and Lasselles. We need to take the size and strength of players into account when rebuilding the squad.
  16. Think what you will, But it's a fact she was the Brains behind the rise of KP right from the beginning along with Vichai. It was Vichai and Susan making the big decisions up until the accident. The accident changed the dynamic at KP. You now have a large board with Tops Mother and Brothers and Sisters. Who have little or no business experience.
  17. Probably claim the actions of the Fans upset and terrorised the players causing them to lose focus and not play well.
  18. We've no chance on Saturday looking at Portsmouth tonight. Beating Ipswich comfortably 2 nil at present. They're organised, quick, strong, and totally committed. All the things we are bad at.
  19. She didn't agree with the overspend by Top or Jr to appease Rogers. Also She was tired of all the travelling. Flying back and forth to Thailand every week or so. She's now gone on to bigger and better job. Good luck to her.
  20. You've definitely hit on something good going forward. In the short term what you've suggested would help with the financing of Seagrave. It's a prime facility being under utilised I expect of the accident and our downward spiral under Rudskin. We need to get a few top Coaches with experience of working with young players. Then search the world for top young talent. Invite them to Seagrave develop them and keep or sell them when appropriate. The sale of Paige, Monga, etc could pay for the running of Seagrave for years to come. Then with a group coming through every year it can become self financing. But it needs the right quality Coaches to make sure it grows and prospers.
  21. Watch half of them come down with injury before that game.
  22. A couple of things worry me in all this. Susan leaving, She was the brains behind Vichai, and KP thru and thru. Rudskin mush have something on Top. Top can't be that nieve to think Rudskin has the talent to turn things around. Top put in another 124 million into the Club to increase his share holding. Could he be running down our Assets to take over as major shareholder cheaply from KP. KP have been back making plenty of money. So clearly not as interested as when Vichai came on board. Which doesn't surprise me.
  23. You have to have players who want to fight and we haven't seen any evidence of that to date.
  24. Agreed, but to be fair to KP. They've never demonstrated anything like Chanciri. Councils don't want anything to do with Football grounds, they're too much of a headache and tie up Council funds.
  25. You're right. Bur it's a Back Bone our lot need not a Back line. That goal on Saturday was embarrassing.
