Southampton 2 - 3 Leicester POST MATCH
Clever Fox replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Southampton are like Candy Floss, there one minute gone the next. Whatever we Fans think of Cooper, it's clear the players are willing to give it a real go. I didn't see it as a masterstroke at half time. It was blatantly obvious that we needed Wink's on to get some possession of the Ball and Fats on to try and create something up top. Which he done to almost perfection. Mav should have been replaced sooner as he was way off his best yesterday. It was great to see the reaction from the players when we won. The main thing is we got the 3 points and move on. -
Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official

Initially I thought he was a bit light weight as he was getting pushed off the ball quite easily. To his credit he's now holding off challenges much better and effecting games. He plays at a high tempo and not afraid to have a go at goal. As he gathers more strength I expect him to get even better. The Summer was the time to buy him instead of a loan, Now I suspect he could be out of our reach. -

I spotted that right away in the game today and couldn't understand everyone blaming JJ Yes he let the cross come in but he got no support from NDiddi or Skipp. VK should have prevented the goal by being goalside of the scorer. -

It's not confusing at all. The players have dug him out of the shit again. Coupled with Southamptons collapse. -

Definitely a game for the memory bank in years to come. -
It was the same with Mav. Though Mav has been poor today.
-
We need Winks on to control the game for us.
-
Not even a challenge put in.
-
We still can't pass a Ball .

He's an outstanding young Goalkeeper and the club deserves great credit for finding him. You can visually see the worth he brings to the team with the saves he's made this season. I just hope we get the kind of money he's worth if he's poached from us. 70+ million surely.
-
He needs to hit around 10+ goals before January if we are to get 10 million for him.

I fail to see how the interest can make that much difference if borrowing from Directors. In Everton's case because of the mess they were in the Borrowings came with much higher interest rates as the Club were desperate for the Cash to keep going. It's crazy to think that they could have folded just when they were ready to move to their new 600 million pd Stadium. As the costs are usually spread over a long period. As to our Club or our Owners financing the Stadium Development. I think it's exempt from PSR As the costs are usually spread over a long period. 10 plus years. . But I could be wrong on that as I've not seen the PSR rules. Also to the credit of our Owners, Which should not be forgotten by Fans. I've never heard of them taking Money from the Club, Or Asset stripping as happens at other Clubs. I Only ever hear of them promoting and moving the Club further up the proverbably Ladder. Yes we may have slipped off a rung or two and it's irritating, But ultimitely their hearts are in the right place. What's really needed is the Football regulator more than ever now.

His problem now is both Okoli and Faces are both quicker around the Box and are developing an understanding. As you say, I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for Cooper to pick him.

There's several answers to your question but in our case I'd say No, it won't affect player purchases are they are an ongoing expense offset by player sales. And are part of the every year accounts. What they've done is take an advance loan against the KDH money from Chelsea. We sold kdh for 30 million. But I read that's based over 3 years at 10 mil a year. So all we got from Chelsea this year is 10 million. Instead of waiting 2 more years to collect the other 20. They've taken out a loan secured against the Chelsea payments. The big question is what any club uses the money for. If we use it to bring forward the redevelopment of the Stadium. That's makes lots of sense. As the extra seating will bring in more revenue on ticket sales. Helping to sign more or better players. I hope that makes sense. The rules around PSR are a different matter entirely and where designed poorly even with good intentions.

My guess is it has something to do with the Accident. Restricted or Frozen Assets now being released. The legalities around such an horrific event are probably now coming to fruition. So just clearing out the loans we used to tide us over. Everything was going great until that sad night. I'm sure we'll get back on our original plan soon. KP are going nowhere.

If Cooper didn't rate him he should have been sold in the Summer and bring in a new young talent to take his place.
-
Yes true. But we needed Skipp and Wilf battling away totry and stem the constant barrage we were under. We just needed someone who could hold onto the ball in the hole. Skipp maybe could do that but we know what Wilf is like with the Ball at his feet. We rode our luck but got away with it. I think we can agree that the win was more to do with there poor finishing than our wondeful defending, Though there are small signs of improvement.
-
I take your point but I was only referring to Saturdays game. 2nd half we struggled to get out of defence and replacing Ayew with him in the Hole ould have given us someone who could hold the Ball and bring Mav and Fats into play. I don't think he's mobile enough to play that role regularly, though Maddison was never quick. Thankfully we held on to win but used up a lot of luck in doing so.

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official
Clever Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I seen Edouard play for Celtic a couple of seasons ago and wasn't impressed with him. We were linked to signing him then and I said please don't do it. Then he turns up here on loan. Accepting his game rusty, but he's also Lazy. That level of contribution on Saturday is no way exceptable. Daka at least tries to effect games. And I expect he'll be first choice with Vardy when he returns. -
Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th

I think it's safe to say with Cooper's approach to the game we are not going to score 9 goals. -
I think leaving out Winks was the right decision as he hasn't been at his best recently. He doesn't seem quite fit enough. I do think that we could have used him in an advanced role in the hole to retain better possession of the Ball second half. Giving the defence a chance to breath and get back into shape. The other plus is that Okoli is looking like a good signing and getting better with each game. The next 3 games are crucial.
-
We need Subs on now . Edouard and Kasey for Vardy and Ayew.
-
Skipp and NDiddi have given us more pace in front of the defence.
-
Okoli is looking a great signing. Strong all round and great in the Air. He just needs to be a little careful with his passing.
