Leicester vs Aston Villa - Pre-match Thread (August 31st)
Clever Fox replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
That's his minset to Football, H'es done the same in the games so far. Granted we have a better midfield today with Skipp who I think is going to be a big player for us. But what message does it send out to the rest of the Team. We're not good enough to compete so keep it tight. -
Exactly, Someone like Phillips or Nugent should be used to help these young players out.
-
That's good beacuse he gives us different options and was improving his overall game under Enzo. We just need somone to Coach him on positioning and how to finish.
-
There's plenty of evidence of his pace, He's quick alright, It's his finishing that's poor. A good Coach should be able to help him out.
-
I'd sooner keep Daka. At least he has real pace.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Life can be so cruel at times. Have you considered a Cruise from Barcelona. Very relaxing with no Cooking and plenty to do to keep busy if you want too.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Clever Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think Ayew will prove a better signing than DCR. As he can win a free kick like Maddison could. He also looks more busy and lively while genuinely trying to effect games. He should relieve some of the pressure off Vardy in and around the Box. Anyway he's here now so lets give him a chance. -

You could well be right but I think his mind set presently is try not to lose first and foremost, Which forms part of my thinking. Yes he did say those things after the Spurs game but set up exactly the same against Fulham with the same team. The problem with that was we couldn't get out and so got cut off from Vardy which is why we offered nothing in attack. Skipp and Wilf will offer us more mobility in midfield which hopefully will help get us up the field better and bring Fat's and Vardy into the game more. The left wing has been poor in the 2 games so I'd play Mav on the left to keep their defence Spread wide, but also to buy us time to get up in support. Villa are regarded as top 10 So it's not going to be easy, no matter how we play. Let's just hope we get something from the game. -
Leaving aside the Goal, I thought he played very well getting up and down the pitch comfortably. If he cold only improve his touch he'd be even better. It's early days though he'll improve naturally with more games under his belt.

I think he'll go with the low block again with Skipp joining Winks and NDiddi in midfield out of possession and Skipp and Wilf pushing on in possession. Buono is talented but a little lightweight in challanges, So I'd go with Fats Vardy and Mav up top to offer us Width and Pace for a quick Counter attack. Mads Ricardo Faes and Vesty JJ Winks Skipp NDiddi Fats Vardy Mav He's got to be realizing where are best players perform at their best and a system that worked very well last season. -
Yes, He was given a Booth out the Door.
-
Well, so far he's been shit since he's arrived and responsible for conceding the Goal against Spurs. So what do you think, are you John by any chance.
-
Does this mean we're getting rid of Reid now.
-
He must have learned something from tonights game. He needs to bring a better balance to the team as was shown tonight. Pick the right players in their best positions and let them play within the structure he wants them too.
-
I'm not sure Cooper will do it as we're going to be under pressure in most games. But I would like to see him try it even in a game we're chasing a result.
-
We have to see a bit more of him him, But I don't think he can offer us what Mavadiddi can on the wing. But we'll see over the season.
-
I think Ayew can make a good pairing with Vardy.
-
I've said it many times, I'd give him a go in midfield simply because he'd win more headers and tackles and can certainly carry the ball.
-
I like Skipps movement, He's covering a lot of ground.
-
A Few names I'd forgotten about, He certainly raised our profile in the Football world and there was a definite buzz around the place even if he didn't deliver. I agree, I doubt he would have got us promoted either, But as I said earlier, I think he had lost his Football focus by then. His win ratio wasn't that great 1 in 3 I think which ultimately led to his sacking. Who would have thought we'd have an England Manager managing little old Leicester City.
-
I was referring to his time with us and clearly the facts back up what I said. Other than Kasper signing his time here was poor.
-
I hope he brought his Boots, We need him soon the way things are going.
-
A true gent but I'm not sure he was much of a manager. I think his focus was elsewhere. RIP. Sven.

It sounds like he'd rather be here than in the States. All that sunshine gets to you eventually. I think his wife has a big job over there in her chosen career. Not an easy choice for him.
