While all that is very true you need one CB with pace to cover the other. Otherwise they're going to fall back and cover the Goal. A lack of pace will be exploited in the Premiership.
-
That's my thinking also.
-
I'm sure he'll get a run out on Saturday, Even if it's only as a Sub .
-
I know we signed him to play DM But I thought he was a CB with Gent. Though you could well be right.
-
More like the Gash should be on his Arse in that photo.
-
Can we sell him to Leuven to satisfy ffp then buy him back in June. Just a paper transaction really.
-
I agree, but we signed him as a CB so he must be able to play the position. He's been excellent recently in the advanced midfield role.

What Will You Miss From The Championship?
Clever Fox replied to Skidmark's topic in Leicester City Forum
Proper football fans in the Championship who understand the game. Now we're going to have to endure more of the Prawn Sandwich brigade. -
Doyle is a talented player but he'll be eaten alive for pace in the Premiership. I couldn't believe how slow he was. We really need to sign another tall quick aggressive CB or move NDiddi back there if he stays.
-
Mads for me, given his lack of top level football to come into the Team and be so commanding of his goal. Not to mention the saves and his distribution at times.
-
Summerville could be a decent shout depending on how long his contract has to run. We certainly could match what Leeds pay him.
-
I hope Ndiddi gets a new contract and Vardy an extension for another year. Sadly Vesty and Doyle are too slow for the premiership and Akgun is too short and lightweightt hough he does have talent. I hope the rest go.
-
Yes let's see how he gets on either way the club will do well out of him.
-
Yes it's partly about opinions. Though you and others are saying he's not good enough. Based on what , The Manager who is a professional doesn't agree with that viewpoint otherwise he wouldn't play him. The point is you can't judge young players as the finished article when they're starting out. The Managers job is to improve him. Like KDH has dev and improved. You only have to look at Harry Kane as an example or our own Vardy. Both late developers you could say. Kane was awful when he was here. I personally saw a lot in Kasey last night to think he can make it. Let's just see how he and Braybrook, and Alves get on in their development.
-
Far from it. KP has already recovered the money they lost during Covid. Only the corrupt FFP rules for trying to hold us back.
-
This is exactly it. Some even saying he's not even a really Fan. Well he was a Fan long before he talked his Father into buying the Club. He's entitled to enjoy the moment as much as anyone else. Let him enjoy it for 24 hours because tomorrow starts the preparation for our Premiership return.
-
No that's not the issue. The issue is he doesn't have his Father clout or Power. everything changed for the worse with Accident. Top may be Chairman of the Club but he's only a member of the board. he can't decide to give 100 million to the Club like his father did or 60 million to the local Hospital, etc. Top doesn't have that power when are fans going to realise that. from now on we are essentially run by Committee. Which in my experience is never a good thing. Yes he's made a few mistakes which is easy to point out now. But had Rogers avoided relegation everyone would have said he done the right thing in sticking with him. Anyone in business who tells you he gets everything right is a liar. Nobody does, life isn't like that. Top is responsible for talking his father into buying the Club. For that alone I'll always be respectful and thankful to him for the wonder success we endured since KP took over. I'm also confident there's more to come.

EFL Champions 3 - 0 Preston North End post-match thread
Clever Fox replied to KingsX's topic in Leicester City Forum
Firstly I want to say a big thank you to the Referee who I thought was brilliant tonight. he deserves great credit for the way he controlled the game tonight. He let it flow where others are too happy to blow the whistle. Which contributed greatly to the game and the Atmosphere. we were immense tonight , all over the Pitch. It was a big call from Enzo to leave out so many of the regulars knowing the importance of the game. To their credit not one of them let him down. They slotted into the system seemlessly. and how fluid it's beginning to look now with each player understanding their role and playing within their capability. Ndiddi, Winks , Ricardo and Fats, Vardy, where all excellent tonight in what were difficult conditions. Not to forget the Keeper, Faes, Coady, Yunus, Vesty and Kasey. Well done Everyone. -
I said he was light years ahead of any Manager I've seen and I've spent over 50 years in the game. I still believe he can take us further if given the chance and support from the Club. The way he brought in fringe players tonight in what was a crucial game for us tonight shows the quality of the Man. A far cry from what we witnessed from Rogers last season with his constant moaning and excluding players from the squad. I'm really looking forward to see who he signs this Window to fill the obvious positions in the squad for next season. well done Enzo, You deserve it.
-
I thought he was excellent tonight. He covered a lot of ground got in tackles and glided past defenders at time. I'm not sure what anyone expects from one so young. KD H didn't exactly excel in his first season but look at him now. I expect McAteer to have a similar development as he grows and settles into the squad.
-
I hope he stays, but you couldn't blame him for taking a big pay day in America. then come back to some role at the Club, even just Coaching the Strikers.
-
That level of support deserves special praise. You or someone should let the Club know. You deserve a plaque somewhere in the Club or ground. If I were Top, I'd see you got a seat in a Directors Box. Or a free Season ticket for that level of Commitment. I commend your loyalty Sir.

Preston Away - Monday 29th April - Pre Match
Clever Fox replied to urban.spaceman's topic in Leicester City Forum
I always liked Preston going back to the 60s. They always seem to do things fairly right without ever quite getting there. Let's hope they don't spoil the Party tonight. -
No, I seen it at close quarters in my working life. Paralysis sets in with nobody making the decisions. Which seems to be what happened with the Rogers situation and the spending. It was Top and Rudkin who wanted him here. After the Cup win they thought he could do no wrong. Susan does not get involved in Football matters as she said she doesn't know enough about it. Which is why Vichai dealt with the football matters until the accident.
-
This is it exactly. Whatever the situation is, Top is still his Mothers eldest Son. She's likely to back him against anyone. I'd say there's a fair bit of Politics going on in the Boardroom.
