Very likely, Isn't that what Chelsea have been doiing for years. We might as well join them.
-
The Club should definitely buy it regardless of what they use it for. Though it does seem a perfect fit for moving the Womens setup to there. Giving us a much bigger overall site which makes the whole site more valuable into the future.
-
Yes, But so has Mads. It's just the nature of the position. Mistakes usually end in goals. I'd still prefer Iversen as Backup until Jakob is back in the squad.
-
We can't go into the Premier league with Ward as our number two. If Mads gets injured we'll be in deep shit. Iversen has proven to be decent in the league and certainly better than Ward, Unless we get a decent Fee we need to keep him until January at least.
-
I haven't seen him play thought he sounds like the type of player we should be signing , young with big club experience and a lot of upside. The fact he can cover several positions is an added bonus and Cooper knows him.
-
He sounds exactly the kind of player we should be targetting once the price is right. Someone we should get our money back on easily but with a lot of upside also.
-
I assume we're buying potential a bit like Fofana. I just wonder though if he can't nail down a place at Juventus and none of the big boys are after him is he worth 30 million. He's going to have to hit the ground running here as we can't be sitting him on the touchline while he gets up to speed. I just hope we've judged this right after Rogers disaster signings.
-
Something doesn't seem right here or Juve are trying to capitalize on our naivety. They bought him for 120k last year and now expect us to pay 30 million.
-
I doubt we were ever really considering him. Clearly putting our efforts into getting the Juventus Player.
-
He was coming on nicely until his injury. I'd keep him another year unless we get a really good offer for him as he could save us 30 million down the road in a season or two.
-
Ward has to be up there as as worst ever given what we paid for him. At least many of the others got a lot of game time.
-
He seems to have a lot of the qualities we so badly need, Especially with KDH gone. He looks a quality signing if we can pull it off.
-
He doesn't look up to Prem level unless Cooper can improve him.
-
I guess we're not in a great position to be too fussy and any sponsorship is better than none, I guess. I'm sure it's 10 million at least, I just hope we use the money wisely. So far other than Fatawu I'm not very impressed with the Calibre of signings, but then I guess they have something to prove
-
So how much money are we getting for the Sponsorship, Anybody know. ?
-
So he can play everywhere bar in Goal. I don't know anything about him but possibly a good squad player as you never know who gets injured. In terms of quality though, We really need to be aiming higher. people who can effect games and results. The way forward is upcoming youth with ability who just need that exposer and polishing off to the finished article. I think possibly thats where Coopers best Talents is in developing young players so why not build on that.
-
4 million is probably the modern equivilant to Vardy's 1 million fee from Non league. At least this lad comes from a Club with a pedigree for signing talented young players. I think he's going to be a big success once he toughens up a little but he won't lack the talent. He looks like he can play as a Winger also if needed as well as all midfield positions. He's two footed and confortable on the ball. I have big hopes for him. While he may need time to find his feet with the pace of the league I think he'll be fine. Building for the future.
-
Maybe he thought he was buying the Premier league when he bought a piece of utd. Who the F**K does he think he is the entitle BX. At least our Owners own all of the Club. No wonder they are questioning how it's been run by a charletons. The sooner regulation comes in the better for smaller Clubs and the Fans. Let the big 6 piss of and play a league amongst themselves and see how many turns up to watch after a Month.
-
Thanks, So they do still exist. So maybe that's still the way they initally register players still.
-
I'm not sure they do exist now, But I'm sure the importance of a time stamp still applies which ever system is used.
-
You very conviently forgot the fact that he gave away the Goal with a schoolby error against a premiership winger. All I know about him is what I've seen and I don't like him. But I'm open to him winning me over. When the going got tough in the relegation year he done a runner. Not the level of committment you want from any player.
-
Yes, he's young and has a little more experience. Though the Italian league has been poor for quite some time. Granted the enviroment will have changed but many of the same players are still here and I'm sure he'd rather be somewhere else. I'm also certain if they Club could get the money back on him they'll grab it though. So lets wait and see what happens.
-
Not really, I'm basing it on what I've seen of him here. The premierleague is unforgiving compared to other leagues. Do I think he's better than JJ , certainly not, So why keep him. We'll just have to hope that Cooper can get more from him than we've seen so far if he stays.
-
I wouldn't put a lot of faith in him based on the Italian league. It's a completely different animal to the high temo of the premiership. He was badly exposed in the England game and didn't seem to offer much going forward either. I'd really prefer us to get our money back on him and get someone else who also wants to be here.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

You need to be very careful when letting young players join lower league clubs. It's a big step up for young players. Not Football wise because mostly they would run rings atound lower league players. The issue is there's many players etching out a living down the leagues and won't take kindly to a young player showboating his talent and making them look inadequate. It's full of Cloggers who sadly would injure a young player sooner than let him show them up and costing them their livelyhood. Great if the young player is a big strong lad but not good if he's a lightweight. In which case he's better staying put while the Coaches build up his strength and allow his body to develop as he ages a little more. It's not an exact science but a lot depends on the young players confidence levels coupled with the Clubs expectations as the last thing they want is to lose a players for a long time due to injury like Alves and Braybrooke.
