  1. I'm telling you. Top is a big fan of Southgate.
  2. Why a thread? We have an ex players
  3. There is no explanation because it's wrong. Of course it counts.
  4. Holding a guard of honour for club legend Danny Ward as he is brought on the the last minute V forest when leading 1-0 and we ultimately lose 2-1. Ground gives a standing ovation safe in the knowledge his contract is up . Hours later Rudkin gives him a new 4 year deal.
  5. Being on only £5k a week, hes obviously due an upgrade on his contract.
  6. Highly doubt our entire net spend will reach £20m.
  7. I stand by my comment. And I'm not sure how you can lay down rules as to what I can and can't post on a forum if anything it sound like you also are suffering with sour grapes. Anyways... The club may not have handled it correctly but what I do know is he has not showered himself in glory by slagging the club off like that. That will only make it harder for him to get fixed up with another. Not a smart move in my opinion which I am quite entitled to. People are only reading his side when I'm sure there are 2 sides to the story but the club simply won't get involved in tit for tat with a released player. Players are released all the time hes just another one if the many numbers who didn't cut it ultimately. He would be better off getting his head down and working hard to prove people wrong and earn a chance somewhere else not publicly complain in the media about the club who gave him an opportunity and ultimately for whatever reason it didn't go his way. It makes him sound like a cry baby not someone desperate to make it. I hope he gets fixed up and gets another opportunity but I doubt anyone decent now would touch him with a barge pole. Good luck to him but His destiny may be a career in the Irish leagues.
  8. Erm... it's a forum I can comment my opinion it's just as valid as yours.
  9. I think this is more a case of sour grapes.
  10. Mads is not bad. And Danny Ward is a good prospect I hear.
  11. 40-50m is not a huge distance on a football field?! 4-5m and I'd agree.
  12. Eiram Cashin is one we have bedn keeping tabs on. Recently signed a big contract through so won't as be cheap as you think. Possibly one we will go in for further into his contract I don't know.
  13. Nelson definitely breaks through this season. Massive season for him and I have no doubt Enzo will be looking to bring more pace in at the back. But play the right system and pace is not the be all and end all, certainly not in an Enzo system. Interestingly another defender we have been keeping tabs on, Eiran Cashin is also not blessed with pace but is known more for his vision, quick thinking and short quick passing abilities. Seems to fit the Enzo mould. Maybe Nelson will give that extra mobility required.
  14. I seem to remember we did ok in 2015-16 with Morgan and Huth. Neither were blessed with pace yet we found a system to play that didn't expose that weakness. There are many more attributes to playing football than pace. We just have to trust Enzo finds the right system to cope with that in his game and to be fair he didn't do too bad this season. We all know money is going to be super tight and the net spend will be tiny if not zero so giving him a year or two on a Lower wage which he no doubt will be on, is a no brainer. What's the alternative? We replace him? That would involve a transfer fee. Possible signing bonus clauses. A longer committed contract and agents fees. I'm a perfect worldyes of course we would all like to replace him for a younger player with not only potential to improve but also be ready to slot straight into the team in the Prem. But those players are few and far between and certainly not cheap of availableat all. Have people forgotten the financial mess we are in/have been in ? This is not football manager and upgrades all over the pitch are simply not going to be possible. In certain positions we are just going to have to make do with what we have. That's the reality We find ourselves in.
  15. Agree on all but he was not one of tbe highest earners. Reported to be £33,333 a week. He was signed before the huge contacts were given so makes sense.
  16. Not too sure I thought Braybrooke was 2026.
  17. Am I right in thinking Alves is only contracted till summer 2025 and Braybrooke 2026? Maybe I'm wrong? I know we have learnt our lesson with contacts but if this is the case surely we needyto be looking at extending now?
  18. You can tell its close season when threads are being made about other clubs. I dread to see what's next..
  19. Highly doubt he will be going on loan. I agree with you. As a 17 year old kid playing for the U21 although he had massive potential he hardly set the world alight. Braybrooke was different he stood out most games. Since his return from injury Alvez has looked a cut above U21s level and is clearly ready to step up. A big pre season and I think he's involved in the match day 18 from the off. The boy is ready and I think Braybrooke won't be far behind. I expect little net investment into the squad this window and the time has come to blood these two. Massive pre season for both.
  20. Alves is a year younger and has also just lost nearly 2 seasons of his development overcoming an injury and has only juat got back upto speed with. Thats almost 3 years difference in developmentand at that age it's huge.
