Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

Very one sided gane so far City have dominated from the off we have literally played them off the park, yet somehow we go in at half time 2 down. We are far from out of this . Early goal second half needed. -

Good to see Popov back today. -
Not sure why you are trying to correct me. Let's do the maths.... 322 career appearances falls between my estimate of 300-400 by my calculations... Please feel free to correct me again if i am wrong. And to me that's a very acceptable career.

Not sure where the comparison is or what your point is here. First point is Wesolowski broke his leg twice and never had an ACL injury while with us . Wesolowski had not played a first team game the first time he broke his leg. He had only appeared in Friendlies . He came back after his broken leg and obviously so had obviously made a good recovery as he went onto getting in the team for the first time. Unfortunately after just a handful of games maybe 3 or four from memory he broke the same leg. Again he came back and got back into the team and played regularly or was around the team regularly for a couple of years.Again this suggests he made a goid recovery. The fact he got in the team and played a good number of games after never making an appearance before suggests that he actually made a good recovery. He went onto play maybe 300/400 games in his career at a guess so I'm not sure why you suggest that his injury ruined his career? May he have been a better player without those early leg breaks? Possibly...nobody will ever know for sure but the fact is he made his breakthrough and played all his games for us after those injuries, suggest he got through the injuries just fine .

Who do you want for next season in the PL

North of £75 million? Never ever will KDH go for anything like that. It's a classic example of he's worth so much more to us right now than any club would pay for him. Transfer market will be very stangnat in the summer as clubs try and swerve FFP. Only the very top clubs could still ge throwing mega money around and KDH does not goto any of the big 6. -

My bad I didn't realise you ment Tommy. If I remember right Wolves have an option to buy for £4m so doubt we would get him S Wolves will almost certainly snap him up. -

Hes not got a year left though. He's under contract till 2027 with an option for a further year . No way does he go that cheap. £12-15 minimum I would say If and that's if they are prepared to sell. -

Every club in the land craves what you talk about. A striker who only needs a chance or 2 and he will put one away. Trouble is they tend cost an absolute fortune. People will soon start to realise the "gift" we had in Jamie Vardy is something that very rarely comes around. Maybe once in a lifetime if you are lucky for clubs like Leicester . Cannon and Daka may just be our ceiling for a while. They are both still young and both have potential. Maybe one will kick on to the next level. -

Alves back tonight -
Again i love how the average fan barks back to one game as evidence. Hes been here a year yet give me one game to hang your hat on. Glad you agree with me though that it would be great for someone to take him which was my original post. If only you would agreed in the first place we would not have had to go round the houses. Still... it clicked in the end. You got there mate.
-
Not seen any evidence that he is capable of that weapon as you describe it or have previous managers seen ut hence he's way down the packing order. I'm interested what you base your theory on that he's the man to see out games? Again no mnager seems to have picked up on this inspired idea of yours? I see you also state Nelson deserves to be getting opptunites as well. At this rate we are starting with 4CB and bringing a further 2 on late in the game. I'm so glad the average fans are not managers. He's played 4 games. He's not getting a sudden increase in gametime anytime soon so surely even yiu must agree its better for all involved he's playing elsewhere?
-
And He ain't get that opportunity anytime soon it seems as he's too far down the pecking order. Hence why I said my first statement... better for him and the club he gets a loan.
-
Which he has had ample time to do with no success.
-
Perfect reason to hang around a club with the off chance of grabbing 10 mins here and there. I bet he's relishing it.
-
Who's place does he take?
-
1 in 1 out
-
Will this get to 100 pages before it's finished?
-
A loan would suit both him and us. He's well down the packing order it seems.
