Ex Players - They used to play for us
themightyfin replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Sidney Tavares is out of contract at the end of next month. I wonder if this kid has any regrets after making his debut for us in the Premier League he's gone onto playing 30 odd games in the Portuguese B league and 5 in the MLS. Was tipped for big things but now scratching around for a club. -
Jamie Vardy is dead? Oh shit. We really are screwed.

Does one sub appearance in the Masters 6 a side count ? If so put me down.

It depends very much on the agent, the money involved and the player’s standing in the game. With a loan with obligation to buy, it's likely that a wage has already been agreed, perhaps as a base , or in principle, at the time of the player signing the original loan deal. Morata as Juventus…real Madrid had their option to buy and did so, certainly against Juve's wishes and possibly even against Alvaro's wishes. The only way to get out of the agreed contract would be to find a financial agreement to compensate the other club essentially creating a new contract agreed by all parties. Yet if a club already had a player by contractual obligation the price to buy out that contract would be very large indeed and entirely up to that club. The player agrees to the original loan with option. And cannot just change his mind when that option is taken up. The obligation or option to buy offers the developing club the assurance that they will be compensated for training, playing and developing the club.

Yes sir. It would be the ultimate betrayal for Celtic fans if he did. Very interesting to see it though! -
Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)

Read the story. One person said it and it was just an opinion he could do the job. -
Tom Hopper Adam Smith and James Pearson.

I value your opinion

We wants to play not be a number 2.
-
Oh dear...

That was 2 years ago. He was regressing the season before . What's he gonna do in tbe dressing room? Hang the shirts?Paint the walls? It's a completely different squad he would have zero influence on them now. Plus he's still playing and wants to play games which he wouldn't do here. Makes no sense whatsoever. Kasper is the past. A club legend where he needs to stay. When he finally hangs up his gloves and if he chooses to go into coaching then maybe ,but who knows what he will do after or if he will even cut it as a coach.
-
Exactly. Past it. Same as Kasper. Your a little slow also it seems....
-
Oh god. Why not bring back Simpson at RB as well?

Don't look like we have even offered a new contract at the minute

I got Struber at 66-1 . Cuesta ...? Nothing to do with me!. Not one I've considered tbh.

One of the first to throw his hat in the ring . Cooper Wouldn't be my pick and not sure how the recruitment team would see this but at least someone is interested!
-
Steve Cooper.
-
Oh god. Not Steve Cooper.
-
Exactly. Potential.

Yeah not much difference looking at their records. Sometimes we really do need to remove blue tinted specs. While Mads undoubtedly has potential he's never even played in the Premier league. To even suggest he's on a par with one if the best Keepers of all time is just crazy. I hope, really hope he fulfills his promise and goes onto having a great future don't get me wrong ,but he's not earned the right to even be mentioned in the sane sentence as Ederson . I see figures of £40/50m being banded around, again in today's market where clubs are going to be ultra cautious with their net spend these figures are pure fiction. Any bid north of £20m I think would be accepted in the position we are in.
