A goal will come from the long passes out the back to Ayew. Monga, Winks, Ricardo for Soumare, Skipp, Ayew and we have skill, brains and energy from the start.

Thats if he hasn’t tripped himself up under no pressure.

Another managers hubris. You just have to watch his tapes for the last 3 years or even the last 3 games. Another manager playing the donkeys exactly the same way and getting exactly the same results. We need someone to be ruthless not kick the can down the road. I’ll have some of your copium if there is any left after saying Soumare has technical ability.

We have had 5 managers, plus the ones when on loan and he has played the same way and not improved over 4 years. We are stuck with him, no offers or rumours shows up yet reality of him as a player. I just can’t see another manager suddenly being able to make him play, especially one who can’t even get his fullbacks to overlap once they have passed the ball instead of watching like statues.

I’m hoping the manager has added a few more tactics or at least hammered our shit players with what he expects them to do. Pass to the wingers and stand back while they are double teamed. Pass to Ayew, watch him ignore runners, fall over and not win free kicks. Surely by now fans can stop the cope that his hold up play is a strength and valuable to this team.

It’s not really a battle with our midfield. If Bilal doesn’t play then zero tackles will be made. It’s poor finishing that is stopping us getting battered rather than a solid defence and midfield.

He is the last person we need to protect our defence. The Everton game last season still makes me feel sick when he ducked the header and positioned himself behind the attacker giving him space and time. He is too thick to and never switched on to read the game and then get stuck in. For me he is a lost cause, thinking he will suddenly come good if we give him less and less tasks and responsibility is just a cope because of what the owners have done to this club. The same with Ayew and Daka. We need a grug brain championship CDM who enjoys defending and does that well. I doubt we will get anyone.

He needs to get the tactics right and the players actually following them pretty quickly as the rot is already set in from the last two donkeys and the toxic players. JV is stinking things out by playing a high line as well as holding onto the ball for too long and playing Enzo ball to Ayew with a midfield of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder to try and chase the resulting loose ball. Monga and Fatawu are getting marked out the game as the team stand around and do nothing to help. That only changed against PNE when JJ switched sides and yesterday when Ricardo came on. Thomas, like many of our squad are the finished product, they just aren’t very good. I can’t get excited about him making last ditch tackles when he struggles doing the basics. The manager has his work cut out.

If he’s not going to be backed, he needs to train the players to stop making the same mistakes and playing style. What manager would be happy with how Ayew plays? If they are ignoring his tactics or individual roles, he needs to set an example and just change them. We wouldn’t be losing out by changing Ayew with literally anyone. How long can he continue to be happy with watching Thomas never attempt to carry the ball, pass and then make himself available for a 1-2, or when in position watch him get outmuscled. Hopefully he saw the difference when Ricardo came on, how a player can run with the ball, pass and continue running to assist. He has to start showing more tactical understanding of the opponents and able to change in game, other than keep passing to Fatawu until he can get by 2 defenders and shoot. The lack of movement and awareness by our players is the worry. His willingness to make subs early is a plus point over the last two clowns.

Until Ricardo and winks came on. Ricardo was the difference as he has ability and a footballing brain. He brought the ball over the halfway line and passed it players running forwards. If his only style of play is pass to the wingers, we need full backs and midfielders to carry the past the halfway line and want to receive the ball in advanced positions.

He's saying the right things for people who didn't watch the game. Too many times they had to put in the shift to recover from their own mistakes. Another manager we have to give time to while watching the same players, make the same mistakes. He has to be backed with a new midfield and forwards otherwise its this dross all season.

Several times he was on the ball, waiting for someone to run into space and they just stood still. I want to see him play with Ricardo. Hamza was passing to him from deep so he had the ball on the halfway line with his back to goal. Ricardo was progressing up the pitch and playing balls for Silco Thomas to run onto and provided extra options.

I want to see him with Winks so it can be fully confirmed that he is dog shit no matter who he is with. I can't recall a single positive thing he has done on the pitch. Unfortunately the only cover he is providing is to Soumare's ability and jogging around.

Is any of that stick wrong? You can work as hard as you want but if the output is shit and impacts the team then what is the point. There was never a reason to sign Ayew.. Him and Skipp are Coopers continual stench. The fact that managers still pick them says more about the managers we keep choosing. Enzo drilled simple tasks and positioning into players and moved them around, within a few preseason games we saw what they were trying to do. A striker who drops deep, turns his back to goal and falls over isn't great.

Even in attack when he can't help but slow down and almost kill it. So many times all he would have to do is stick his foot out or cut the line of play but he waits till the moment has gone by then half attempts something. He will never get better or sharper, otherwise he would have by now.

I never thought Ayew would ignore the pass, slow down and fall over not winning the foul.
