A lot changed in the last 6 months, and in football that's like a lifetime. Villa under Emery are clearly ambitious and they have the makings of a squad to challenge for the top 4. I'm sure Youri was sold on their project and probably was told he would get regular games. He might not even have to move house which is a factor no one seems to consider. A few months ago he wouldn't have thought of going there but fans need to realise Villa and us have swapped places from 3 or 4 years ago when they were useless and we were a good side.

The real irony is that he's gone to a team with a very good midfield and unless he's on top form will struggle to get in. Douglas Luiz, Kamara, Ramsay, McGinn are all very good players. Absolutely spot on post. I've always said this, Spurs are a big club but never have been expected to win things. Pre Levy and pre Harry Redknapp they were absolutely terrible, couldn't fill White Hart lane and had Chris Armstrong up front. Their mega stadium, Bale and Modric, Pochettino years are as good as it gets probably for them. Kane will go to United or Madrid and they will go back to being shite again.

Completely agree, we need a successor, time to buy a promising 20 year old from lower leagues, Vardy should have been a super sub and nothing more last season, same applies to championship, he can't play two or 3 games a week anyway.

It's quite alarming how people on here think the championship is like a cakewalk to anyone who has played in the prem. Daka has been largely dogshit, and to suggest he'd get 30 goals or ridiculous things like that is naive in the extreme. The championship is extremely high quality and competitive. Those referencing the Austrian League- the Championship is miles clear of that standard. If people think we will piss the league they are in for a rude awakening. It wouldn't surprise me if most of these people have hardly watched a championship game in the last few years and assume it's a poor standard.

It was the way you worded it mate, but yeah most players even the very best look a bit languid and disinterested a lot of the time. His numbers don't lie, an English winger who scored goals in the top league and Europe is something most teams would die for.
