Now I'm not an expert on the Watford Gap services but couldn't you have just eaten inside the building? I'm pretty sure that's designed to keep rain out

I didn't find it, that was Corky

I think my favourite comment is:

Moscow's a pretty cool place, enjoy. Dunno if getting Visa's have become easier since 2004 but give yourself plenty of time for yours. The consulate advised us of a 6 week turnaround but was closer to 8 when we got them. My mate went to Anzhi vs. Newcastle in 2013 and got a VISA within a week. I'd probably recommend leaving a bit more time though!

Whatever happened to Saint Helier Pear Cider? Didn't it used to sponsor some kind of football show at some point? Did it just get destroyed by Kopparberg?

The two main advantages I find are multi-quote and the fact that it doesn't load gifs fully until you click on them (which means your phone doesn't get slowed down when there are shitloads of gifs on a page) It's pretty easy to turn that off, I'm not sure why people leave it on there.

Probably a bit late now but for future reference http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/ And some info on the best cards to use abroad http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money I have a Halifax Clarity credit card that I only use for abroad (and just pay off in full afterwards). It makes things so much easier.

Something's going on and it's not quite clear...

It's basically because the company has a massive collection of things like that so sticks them on the roof http://londonist.com/2013/09/why-is-there-a-rooftop-fighter-plane-near-perivale.php There's also been an artillery gun, a bus and a spitfire amongst other things.

If you shop around you can get tablets with the same active ingredient as the branded ones for a fraction of the price (90 tablets for £5 for instance) http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/cheap-hayfever-remedies

I saw that just over a week ago. I liked the spinning stage.

Excellent choice. How much? I bought the blue one for £4 several years back (2007), best decision I've made in a long while. I think it might be made of sandpaper though.

On a short haul flight I'd agree with you. On a long haul flight though ANYTHING GOES

Unless we get a lab puppy gif then I'm not interested

Possibly. The API can be a request of the country you're travelling to rather than anything to do with check-in. I guess it depends how linked the systems are of the company you booked/are flying with! I can't remember the last time I had to fill out any advanced stuff beyond online check-in so I can't be sure.

Usually they'll email you your boarding pass to print off and then when you get to the airport you go in a quicker queue just to drop your bags off (rather than the queue to check-in and drop your bags off). It's pretty easy, just make sure you enter your passport details correctly and don't lose it between now and Sunday!

There are so many decent UK beers if you know what you're looking for. The craft brewing scene has really taken off in the past couple of years. A bit of Meantime is a personal favourite of mine. At the risk of sounding like a hipster I popped down the London Fields brewery the other week and they do some lovely stuff (the Hackney Hopster was a favourite). Also stumbled across the American Pale Ale by the Hackney Brewery and it was incredible stuff. Also, say what you like about mass produced American beers, they're streets ahead in the craft ale world. I'm a big fan of the Goose Island IPA for one. Oh and I love a porter. Five Points (another Hackney brewery) do a great one called Railway Porter. DELICIOUS I'm aware no one was really asking about this but I got a bit carried away. We may pay through our arse for beer down here but we're spoilt for choice.

Here you go. About 15 minutes walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras, get on down!
