  1. Exactly ….like most of the youngsters I remain far from convinced they should be anywhere near the first 11 - Nelson is the only one I would play as he is clearly ready however Aluko like Evans, Braybrooke, Monga, Page would be far better off having had loans in league 1 or 2 . we may need to be radical and play Skipp at right back as Ricky is really struggling ……absence always seems to make our non playing players into something they are not…….
  2. Based upon what?
  3. Correct it was Williams - between Vards and Mahrez he had a torrid time !! Its been a while but I think JL could be an inspiring signing if he can stay fit - he’s a leader in the Jonny E, Wes and Huth mould and boy have we needed one!!
  4. Think Andy King will in time be a great coach and possibly a manager as he is bright however we need a manager and now! we need some experience and discipline with a leader who will not accept egos and players who won’t work - we have enough ability but are disorganised and look unfit whilst not playing for one another - this is not the time for inexperience. god knows who though 😂
  5. Well that would at least improve us as we need players in every position
  6. 100%-no one will turn this lot around - we need about 5 quality signings and until this team is cleared out no manager will make a jot of difference
  7. Everything that was right about the leadership and way this team was led - tactically and culturally is what is wrong with our dressing room today. He was such an inspiration and so wise - this topic being bumped has more than anything made me very sad - what a sad state of affairs it is now!!
  8. This! Everyone has a choice and fans criticising one another is really sad to see. I cannot believe there is any city fans who are happy with the situation and the leadership is clearly failing and has been doing so for a long while. You also cannot ignore that we have had a period of history that will never be repeated and over the last 50 years there has been equally inept management of our club. I have had a season ticket for over 40 years and have not been to a game this season - why? because I do not agree with how the club is being ran and most importantly the players on the pitch nearly to a man are not fit to support! I maintain it’s my right and it’s our football club and I won’t lose my seat as I am a fan of LCFC (my club) but also have not spent a penny on the club in any other way this season and won’t. We have had other periods over the years where the club has been terribly ran and it is cyclical but abusing one another definitely does not help - finding educated ways to make the points we have is the best way but ultimately the owner needs to see the issues - I genuinely believe he knows how disengaged we are but whether he has the acumen and ability to manage I remain to be convinced. It is a real sorry sad mess but however it is to be done pulling together and not fighting between ourselves has to be the way forward - change will happen and at least a large number of overpaid pre-Madonna’s will leave at the end of this season - I won’t be back at the KP until they have gone and hopefully the owner grows some courage in the meantime !
  9. Disagree every department is a mess so quality anywhere would help although JWP legs have gone so no thanks
  10. Edited
  11. I think like Samson if Wout had all his cut he would lose all that strength and leadership qualities he oozes - be a sad day when we lose his footballing greatness!
  12. She gets a lot of criticism but she has been great for Vards and at least she has come out publicly ! I for one would put kingy in charge and get Albrighton or someone from that era to help him - pity Vards is out of reach as he would not take the rubbish from this lot !
  13. Absolutely and like lots of the 2016 heroes many must be looking at what’s going on and be saddened by the mess we are in. The lack of any of that era apart from Kingy being connected to us is shambolic - be it in coaching, scouting or even bloody PR says it all really. if you see or hear the likes of Albrighton you can tell it’s a shambles but it’s just bloody sad !
  14. Has absolutely nothing to lose now to get us behind him drop the wasters now - get Faes, Soumare, Ayew, Vesty out of the squad and get some young blood in. It cannot be worse by playing youngsters - I was unsure but having watched that pathetic effort I would rather we see the future tested and get relegated than watch the same idiots !
  15. A really tricky one - he has an task that I believe is nigh on impossible as we have a bunch of players who do not give a damn but also are just not very good - unfortunately they are are players that are paid well and probably the club needs them to be moved on but no one wants them - the board will have told him that and whilst Ndidi and Justin are two they managed to move on the likes of Soumare, Skipp, Faes and Kristensen to name but four who either are really poor from an attitude or capability perspective but they need removing - but dropping them completely means they have no book value and I imagine the owners will want something for them - rock and a hard place! He has been dealt a difficult job and whilst the youngsters have promise Aluko, Nelson, Braybrooke, Evans are talented are they championship level and the club owners clearly need promotion and he will be under that pressure - you can also destroy a youngster by throwing them in too early ! I like many on here have lost the connection to my club probably as low as it has been since Taylor or Levein days and I know this is board and executive issues too but I do not envy MC at all!
  16. He does and physically needs to get up to speed however his movement is good and I think there maybe a player in there but may take a while to see it!
  17. He is quality and as I said before he is the best we have signed for a long time - he is much better as an orthodox 8 than a 10 - quality and will bring us goals from midfield ! he was different gravy again today
  18. Slightly disagree I think the whole focus has to be promotion - I don’t believe anytime spent in this division benefits anyone players, owners or fans. We need to get promoted and youngsters who are ready will play those who need experience should be sent on loan and Page needs game time like Alves, Nelson, Aluko and Evans who may or may not become first teamers here. Monga is different as he has a talent, physique and maturity beyond his years and that has shown in his brief cameos. A pathway where loans provide experience that prepares a player to be ready for the first team is one that has more chance of success and means expectation or pressure are managed carefully - KDH is a case proving that over time. The pressure to be a top end championship player at a club like ours is huge and whilst the academy is definitely showing it can deliver talent the transition to first team football at an elite level is huge. Page has talent but like the others mentioned here they need to play and learn - despite imminent contracts expiring next Summer the players we have are better than the youngsters at this stage and results come first.
  19. He’s young, desperate to help the team, been out for a year and trying too hard. He will get better with games and coaching but give him time - all of this is natural and part of his development but he is not the finished article - if he develops he will be one hell of a player !!
  20. Completely disagree VK is a car crash he has no composure at all and always looks like he is out of control whilst Luke is not an attacking threat in this formation (he has got forward more in the past) he is far more controlled and disciplined - personally wouldn’t want to see VK take his place !
  21. He is having a crisis in confidence and Stephy is 100% a confidence player - he needs us to be patient and maybe rest him for a couple of games allowing Monga to start may be good for him. Can see BCDR coming in soon as the manager is a big fan!
  22. Probably Covs biggest strength is their midfield which has dominated nearly all of the games this season. In Rudoni and Torp they have a talented duo and the biggest compliment is James and Winks elevated our midfield with dynamism and ball retention. Both will be critical and by the end of the season those naysayers will be begging we sign JJ - he would be even more dynamic if slightly withdrawn and we played him alongside Winks allowing Ayew in the 10. Some fans watch a different game he is the best midfielder we have signed for a long while !
  23. He is improving with games and at 24 as a defender he will improve with experience. Has a sweet left foot and is under rated imo - good move although I think 3 years with an option for another may have been prudent!
  24. Probably our best starting 11 subject to Carranza who will need to adapt - not in a month of Sundays will this be Saturdays team though - may take some defeats for him to recognise the need to change so many players !
  25. Very very very low bar - need a couple rather than one
