  1. He cannot pick Okoli and Nelson the need a rest and if Vesty and Lascelles are fit enough they should start with Skipp in front to break the game up - if Begovic is fit he has to come in too. we need a backbone or spine that can show leadership - it’s the only way we have any chance of surviving.
  2. Sadly it was not JJ it’s something about the environment that’s been allowed to fester - JJ was and is a really good pro and like lots of players we have had suddenly look decent when they exit!! we need a complete reset and at least this summer lots of players leave but behind the scenes is as worrying with a complete inept leadership team
  3. Feel for the lad tbh as being thrust into this pile of crap is unfair on any youngster - all of the youngsters are struggling and it’s because the base of the team is so weak - normally blooding youngsters into a team with a strong spine and leadership is less risky but these lads are being asked to jobs that there not ready for. Is he good enough I am not so sure but to be a centre half so young when he has not physically matured is tough. For me I would rest him , dump Okoli completely who is a car crash and build the spine with Vesty and Lascelles !
  4. We need to be realistic and if he manages to keep this shower up he deserves a medal. He walked into a proper mess and be it goal difference or points if he keeps this team up he deserves serious consideration - he knows the club, brought a coach who similarly knows the club and has already simplified with a basic structure with work ethic. We have not had that for the past 4 managers and he will want this job not for money but for what he could achieve as he knows the potential. He will have worked out by the season end what is needed to get us competitive next season and be able to implement it quickly - for me already I would rather have GR than any of the previous 4 managers we had.
  5. You would think they would make a great pairing with one playing the ball the other attacking the defensive side of the game but keeping it simple ………….
  6. I think that is probably the most ridiculous post have seen in this mad place !
  7. Inside of football and business generally she is very well respected with good leadership principles sadly Khun passing left the family lacking leadership.
  8. Yes agreed he was decent and not a complete waster like some of that time !
  9. Peter Taylor is the only manager who I have actually totally despised and murdered our squad and we took decades to get over it. He made Frank Mc look like Sir Alex. Taylor would get my vote as the worst manager in the 50 years I have been going - even now I get angry thinking of the pillock
  10. Silva - I have done it this season I have only been to one game vs Watford and not attended another game. It has hurt as it’s when I see family but it’s a 5 hour+ round trip and the anger having driven back all of last season made the decision easy. I was a massive advocate of the owners in their first 3-4 years as I thought the plan was working but since the last season with Brendan the football decisions and running of the club have been disgraceful - Susan going was a clear signal it’s going to end up in tears - she was the only rounded sound leader in the exec. sad days but we will be back but it was said we had hit rock bottom with the points deduction but I don’t believe that’s the case as the arrogance and ignorance of the ownership means we have further to fall sadly - I cannot see how we will stay up as too many of the players don’t care as they are leaving and overpaid !!
  11. It’s a sad state Freddy and there has been lows over the time I have followed - some of the 80’s and 90’s were awful but this current squad and leadership is some of the most inept - so sad to think 10 years ago we achieved the impossible - how has really got to this !!
  12. Yes but not for the owners and I know it’s a self defeating as I am lining their pockets but its our club and I had the seat before they came along and will after they have gone. I am Not spending anything on merch or in the ground and this season have not been to a home game at all and won’t until it changes but I am keeping my seat!
  13. Exactly ….like most of the youngsters I remain far from convinced they should be anywhere near the first 11 - Nelson is the only one I would play as he is clearly ready however Aluko like Evans, Braybrooke, Monga, Page would be far better off having had loans in league 1 or 2 . we may need to be radical and play Skipp at right back as Ricky is really struggling ……absence always seems to make our non playing players into something they are not…….
  14. Based upon what?
  15. Correct it was Williams - between Vards and Mahrez he had a torrid time !! Its been a while but I think JL could be an inspiring signing if he can stay fit - he’s a leader in the Jonny E, Wes and Huth mould and boy have we needed one!!
  16. Think Andy King will in time be a great coach and possibly a manager as he is bright however we need a manager and now! we need some experience and discipline with a leader who will not accept egos and players who won’t work - we have enough ability but are disorganised and look unfit whilst not playing for one another - this is not the time for inexperience. god knows who though 😂
  17. Well that would at least improve us as we need players in every position
  18. 100%-no one will turn this lot around - we need about 5 quality signings and until this team is cleared out no manager will make a jot of difference
  19. Everything that was right about the leadership and way this team was led - tactically and culturally is what is wrong with our dressing room today. He was such an inspiration and so wise - this topic being bumped has more than anything made me very sad - what a sad state of affairs it is now!!
  20. This! Everyone has a choice and fans criticising one another is really sad to see. I cannot believe there is any city fans who are happy with the situation and the leadership is clearly failing and has been doing so for a long while. You also cannot ignore that we have had a period of history that will never be repeated and over the last 50 years there has been equally inept management of our club. I have had a season ticket for over 40 years and have not been to a game this season - why? because I do not agree with how the club is being ran and most importantly the players on the pitch nearly to a man are not fit to support! I maintain it’s my right and it’s our football club and I won’t lose my seat as I am a fan of LCFC (my club) but also have not spent a penny on the club in any other way this season and won’t. We have had other periods over the years where the club has been terribly ran and it is cyclical but abusing one another definitely does not help - finding educated ways to make the points we have is the best way but ultimately the owner needs to see the issues - I genuinely believe he knows how disengaged we are but whether he has the acumen and ability to manage I remain to be convinced. It is a real sorry sad mess but however it is to be done pulling together and not fighting between ourselves has to be the way forward - change will happen and at least a large number of overpaid pre-Madonna’s will leave at the end of this season - I won’t be back at the KP until they have gone and hopefully the owner grows some courage in the meantime !
  21. Disagree every department is a mess so quality anywhere would help although JWP legs have gone so no thanks
  22. Edited
  23. I think like Samson if Wout had all his cut he would lose all that strength and leadership qualities he oozes - be a sad day when we lose his footballing greatness!
  24. She gets a lot of criticism but she has been great for Vards and at least she has come out publicly ! I for one would put kingy in charge and get Albrighton or someone from that era to help him - pity Vards is out of reach as he would not take the rubbish from this lot !
  25. Absolutely and like lots of the 2016 heroes many must be looking at what’s going on and be saddened by the mess we are in. The lack of any of that era apart from Kingy being connected to us is shambolic - be it in coaching, scouting or even bloody PR says it all really. if you see or hear the likes of Albrighton you can tell it’s a shambles but it’s just bloody sad !
