Went for a walk at half time, how much did we end up winning by? -
Get that out of the way now so we can have an absolutely minging 45 mins. Let’s have it
-
Players need to calm down on the ball a bit. Marti can’t stop Abdul just giving it back to them at every opportunity
-
Turns out it’s even more annoying when we’re actually playing alright and getting shafted by the ref. This has to be investigated

Millwall (A) 15:00 Sat 25th, Pre-Match

Yea it is quite weird - especially when we have been capable of some fairly inventive short corner sequences. Odd that our balls into the box are so poor. -

Not I'm not sure how true it is, but there is actually a seemingly good reason a decent amount of corners don't beat the first man. Football stat nerds (often called performance analysts) have found that corners that are floated high tend to have a low likelihood of producing a goal partially owing to the fact that your players need to win both the initial header and then the knockdown. The set-up with the highest likelihood of scoring was a quickly whipped ball *just above* the head of the first man. Here, the ball has pace and requires the deftest of touches to result in an effort on goal – which is what Arsenal are the best in the world at. Now what this means is that when a player attempts this, the chances of the corner not being high enough to beat the first man are quite high, but the results are worth this sacrifice (higher % chance of goals when it *does* come off). Oh, and also short corners generally lead to more goals than balls straight into the box. So, there are good reasons why we may go short or not beat the first man. Both still piss me off. -
You may have a point about 3atb but game state is very important . Hull were tiring and holding on to a lead so were sitting back more which afforded us more space - which is what I'd say made our play in the latter part of the game look better. Not sure we play like that at 0-0 with 3atb.

As shit as tonight was this is why I’m reticent about the sacking of Marti. We have a board who have been absolutely shit and incompetent for the best part of a decade still calling the shots and a group of some of the shittest no marks who consistently underperform and think they’re better than they are. Makes Enzo really stand out actually getting a tune out of them.

Heaven forbid we take advantage of a counter

Ayew, Daka, Soumare, Thomas off. Couldn’t give a shit who comes on
-
Give Marti a knighthood if he keeps us up
-
Former Wycombe left-back I believe. Many EFL appearances.
-
Soured towards the end (as it did for the majority of the squad) but he was very good in his first season - and for 15m I don't think it can be classed as a bad signing by any means.
