He's on holiday for a few weeks
-
He's an upgrade on our current full back options
-
He's better than Coady on the ball. He's also quicker and a proper backs to the wall defender.
-
Would love us to go all out for Sverre Nypan. Him and El Khannouss in the squad would right a lot of wrongs.
-
Nelson is back in the next month or so.
-
Plus any players under 21 don't count so El Khannouss and Fatawu etc don't. So I suspect we'll see such a player come in, Valentin Gomez for example.
-
El Khannouss because a) he's actually playing him unlike Cooper and b) he's had two outstanding performances vs West Ham and Man City.
-
And yet the problem is, if we hadn't raised over £110m on player sales from the academy in the last 4 years we'd be in an even bigger state than we are now. We simply have no viable choice but to bring through academy players. We won't succeed without it. So we can argue why we can't (this season and beyond in the PL), but if we don't we'll be done eventually anyway.
-
Stupidity we didn't go for him in the summer, he was one fire and was signed for a modest fee (i repeatedly flagged him). Can't play for 3 clubs in a season.

Yeah agreed. We will need to ship a few out on loan / sold next month but not as severe as prospect that snookered us as before. I do wonder if one of Coady or Faes is moved on next month. Iversen or Ward will be moved on on loan too and let go for free in the summer. Thomas doesn't seem to have a future here either.

You'd hope so! -
I don't think that'll be the case. We'll gamble and have to sell retrospectively in June.
-
We need a striker who can hold the ball up, is quick and presses extremely well. Daka can do a few of these things but he's still not as all rounded as a striker that I think we need.

He looks unbelievable

If he plays RW then we need a right back in better form / ability than Justin. -
Well said. If we don't gamble on survival by bringing in 4+ players next month then I hope we realise the lost cause and plan for next season. Alves and Monga as impact players, possibly even Jake Evans and Ben Nelson recalled and the 1st name on the teamsheet when fully fit.
-
Suggested him in the summer as a KDH replacement and he's having another stonking season. Alvyn Sanches
-
The injury happened early Nov and could only be 2 months which is early Jan. I wouldn't be surprised if he's back by the close of the transfer window.
-
End of Jan I think
-
I'd love us to go for Reguillon but if we got Valentin Gomez, recall Ben Nelson and sign a right back then I'd be infinitely happier. New RB Vestergaard Nelson Gomez

How did Richard Kone look as well?

Still think Okoli should be playing instead of Coady. We played well but you could tell we'd leave no stone unturned in ensuring we lost today an'all. An air of inevitability about this. The Wolves game was simply unforgivable in a challenge that was going to be very difficult anyway. I will never ever accept the selection of Danny Ward for that and the points swing. El Khannouss was magnificent, he's like those beautiful flowers that somehow grow in horrific environments and substances. Winks has looked very rusty since his return, some of his sloppy play when we had them pinned in the 2nd half enabled the pressure to ease and they then nicked the 2nd goal and was game over. So frustrating. We've a huge few weeks ahead of us in deciding whether to gamble on throwing everything at survival. If we don't then I want to see Alves, Evans, Monga, Nelson when back fit, Joseph etc blooded properly.
-
Yeah to be fair I'd not be against that and him cutting in off the left.
-
Alves on for Facundo please
