I like what I've seen of Okoli but like with almost all our centre halves it's very confusing. They're all OK in their own right and yet we keep signing loads of them that quickly aren't considered important by the manager. Souttar Faes Coady Okoli All four of them are here nor there, got strengths and weaknesses, especially at this level. Only Vestergaard has the passing ability that sets him apart and his lack of pace makes him and us vulnerable but we feel the loss of him when he doesn't play IMO. Ben Nelson hopefully is better than all of them. Ideally we sell Faes and it looked like we might recoup a fair chunk of what we paid for Souttar but he'll now be out for a year and we face a very uncertain outcome with him. Coady I'd try and move on as well.

The most obvious has just gone to Burnley - Oliver Sonne. Recently changed citizenship to Peru but is effectively Danish.

My knowledge of cars is the absolute pits but my PCP is up end of March and I've got £2-3k in equity if I chop it in and get another car from a dealer by the looks of it. I need something that tows a 4 berth caravan well. My Kuga is fine until you have to tow on wet surfaces/grass and then it's a nightmare as its not AWD/4WD. Prepared to have to pay more than £240 a month than I'm currently doing for what was then only an 18 month old car but anyone got any suggestions on a decent tower that won't cost a fortune 2-3 years old? I did my fastest 10km the Friday before Xmas at 48 mins. Had a nice run with the brother-in-law over Xmas but had to borrow some trainers (same brand and model as mine) but think they were narrower and my feet and shins/ankles felt it. Didn't then run until a week or so after and legs still don't feel right, ran again yesterday and everything hurt but glad to get the 1st one of 2025 done. Not looking to rest though as just booked Bath Two Tunnells Half in Feb and went for the hilly route, could regret that.

Did he offer that in the PL before? Whilst I think he may have worked on his output, I don't see him being as creative and dangerous as Bounanotte or El Khannouss at this level.

I liked the look of him last season too. There were a few games I saw of theirs and he stood out. He's improved massively in terms of goals by the looks of it but I've not seen any of their games this season.

Can't loan anymore players from the PL and he's far too injury prone to take him on a permanent.

Of course, but not so sure it's anymore a gamble than any signing under £10m. He's Argentina U20 captain and there's many examples of young South Americans doing extremely well in England and very quickly too.

That's extremely frustrating if so. The player himself is open to coming to Europe and the fee is very modest.

So we can loan as many U21 players as we want from the PL and abroad?

If we send back Edouard then it's a possibility but that would be our two PL to PL loans, although not sure if under 21s count in that, if not then we might then be able to get another in.

Let's not forget training ground sponsorship too....

Suggested him last week. He's refusing to sign a new deal, we could get him on a pre-contract now but negotiate joining this month with a small fee to his club.

@CosbehFox shout of Andre Silva on loan from Leipzig as a replacement for Edouard might not be the worst business in the world if we've minimal funds. He's either sublime or atrocious and is due a spell ripping it up. Likewise Luka Jovic who's not doing much at Milan.

KDH sale not included in 2023/24 is surely incorrect. If it isn't and we fail because of it then we are utter morons.

Ivanovic can't move again this season anyway as already played for two clubs. Early days yet but he does look extremely promising. Surely ends up at Brighton.

I'd like us to tempted Bologna in to us taking Thijs Dallinga on loan with an obligation to buy if we stay up. He'd be a monster under Ruud

Esposito is the exact profile of striker we need, annoyingly Inter would want a fee we probably don't have at this time. Kroupi is very talented but we need a physical striker as a priority. That's not to say we don't also need more reinforcements up front in the summer though.
