  1. If we have breached then I don't see how we weren't going to breach anyway as we raised over £90m in player sales and Enzo going in 23/24 accounts. We added only £10m to the amortised books in the signings we made in the summer of 2023. Therefore if we have breached, by my reckoning the only way we'd have complied is a fire sale on players in the summer of 2023 that wouldn't worsen our PSR (basically can't sell/release anyone below what the remaining book value less the years wages saved). That would have been trying to get Ricardo and Justin out on frees or nominal fees and saved possibly £5-10m in wages, released Vardy, somehow tried to get Ward out. But other than leaving ourselves with no chance of promotion and half a squad, I also don't know if that would have been enough. Stefan Borson has us down as a deficit by upwards of £20m. So had we not signed a single player in 2023/24 and sold KDH for £35m and got £10m for Enzo (wouldn't have happened given both went for the fees they did due to a very good 2023/24 season) then we might have got somewhere close but still iffy.
  2. Hahahahaa sorry mate 😂
  3. If we have breached then I do wonder how on earth we could have complied. We sold Barnes, Castagne and KDH in the accounting year which raised north of £80m in player sales and got circa £10m for Enzo. It would suggest that the summer of 2023 we needed to rely on largely small fee transfers and loans but we spent around £40m (over 4-5 years that's somewhere between £8-10m in amortised fees). So actually it's not a huge number on the bottom line, so if we have breached it's because of the monumental losses of the previous two seasons and the insane wages and contract terms we gave to players and in particular Brendan Rodgers.
  4. Do it. Plays 3 positions we need additions in.
  5. Just waiting for the article that we are hamstrung and cannot make any signings as a result. It's surely coming.
  6. We can get a few more loans from abroad, think U21s from abroad don't count either.
  7. Very tight at the bottom of Serie A, after years in the wilderness they can't afford to risk going down again. They're investing in young talent but they need it to work.
  8. They reckoned we'd breached 23/24 before the Guardian article, so it was either a punt or they're in with a journo.
  9. RC Lens as a replacement for Khusanov. Team up with Will Still again 😂
  10. This could well be bang on from what has been doing the rounds and from reliable sources.
  11. Just to clarify, I didn't say it was the worst for under performance. That is clearly the class of 2022/23 which is the worst relegation of any PL side in its history. But this current lot are underperforming where as 1994/95 we were just an extremely limited bunch of misfits and journeyman who had character and got a number of impressive results. 2001/02 is comparable to this lot.
  12. How about we actually use him? Got 8 goals last season, beggars can't be choosers.
  13. Yet Palace needed him gone to sign and register Eddie Nketiah. To have had to pay a significant loan fee with no termination clause is astonishing in such circumstances.
  14. Someone would have him on loan
  15. The money comes from banking on selling Hermansen in June for £40m + i presume and even then might not be enough. All depends whether we needed to do that already. We spent £80m by my estimates last summer, which over 5 years is £16m in amortised costs for 2024/25. We had a few players drop off such as Praet (£4m) and Vestergaard we're £5m a year on PSR better off and hopefully saved more in wages. I think we need to get one of Faes or Coady out this month, likewise Edouard, Hamza and possibly Thomas and we can then look to get a couple of loans and a couple of players at £10m a piece.
  16. Meanwhile Maswanhise now has 8 G&A in 11 games for Motherwell, 3 of which have come against the top 4 in the SPL where the opposition are at least upper end Championship standard or higher. He was managed very badly by us and like Calvin Bassey will probably go on to compete at the level we're at or aspire to be and yet they've walked away for free or a pittance. Frustrating.
  17. Yes that's correct. It's a nice move for the player to regain some enjoyment and probably put himself in with a chance of promotion and then a PL move.
  18. This has got to be the plan. The club can't get upset if Monga does piss off in the summer, we have to fast track his development and hope that's enough to convince him to stay for a bit.
  19. I'll be there again in a few weeks, it's only 10 mins walk away for me too.
  20. We'd need to sell for around €11m to be no worse off in terms of PSR. Parma have spent more than that on a few players in the summer so they can bollocks if they try and plead poverty.
  21. Sara went for far less than what we paid for Skipp.
  22. I'm sure i read recently that Brassier got booed off by the Marseille fans. He'll fit in well.
  23. Did he only sign a 2 year deal? That's ridiculous.
