  1. GIVEN IT THE GAS
  2. RvN did extremely well at PSV and I love that he'll take no shit from the club. He'll demand fast results and if the board are economical with the truth with him then he'll be off. I love that sort of integrity.
  3. Should never have been appointed. Never felt right. It's not cause for celebration as a man has lost his job and wish him all the best elsewhere but he's way off being good enough at this level in my honest opinion. Surprised the board ha e acted, even though it absolutely is the right decision. I'm on the tins.
  4. Just ordered 100 vuvuzelas from Costco. Hope they arrive in time.
  5. Got to be RvN for me
  6. There's the credentials of a decent defender but he's got deficiencies that need a strong leader next to him and a far better coaching regime. For his size his aerial ability / reading of the game when the ball comes in needs a lot of work. I actually think his use of the ball is OK, he reminds me of Wes Morgan on the ball who could play in possession based systems or a more direct set up.
  7. Will wait a while, if the football scene grows to the level twitter has/did then I'll move.
  8. Before Fatawu got injured I felt a 3-4-2-1 with El Khannouss and Bounanotte behind Vardy would have been worth looking at. We need to get more stability defensively and have creativity and bravery in the final third.
  9. He'll say he's exceeding that today with Hamza and Thomas 😂
  10. Steven Cooper's identity in a nutshell. We get the worst of both worlds with him.
  11. He's turbo multiplied the dumplings there. This could be 7 or 8
  12. Just off to do Sense Valley park run in this muck. Edited to say Sense Valley was cancelled when I got there so did Market Bosworth instead. My watch didn't start for the 1st km either. Superb, really pleased. FFS 24.18 according to the parkrun site, which is a park run PB for ms as I've not ran one since the summer. It's 2 mins shy of my best 5km time though.
  13. We'll see tonight who's missing from the U21 side. At least one of Alves, Evans or Monga is surely in contention with the possibility of no Fatawu, Bounanotte, Reid, Ayew and Vardy .
  14. Really feel for the lad but I'm just numb to the relentless disappointments and set backs for this club. Things change fast but up until a few weeks ago I thought our squad had some danger men and quality that would put us in with a very good chance of staying up. Suddenly that looks a pipe dream now and we can't even draw confidence we can scrap for points as Cooper has not yet found the formula to defend robustly. Need to get through to January and back a new manager and hope we're not cut adrift.
  15. Not unless our coaching methods and facilities leave players vulnerable to injury. Highly subjective bar the actual evidence of the sheer volume of lengthy injuries over the last 4-5 years. Always concerning when players arrive here having seldom suffered an injury in their careers and then they suffer very quickly. Look at Coady and possibly Ayew depending on the severity of this knee injury he's got on international duty.
  16. Ayew somehow recovered from a more serious knee injury than Fatawu? MACHINE
  17. He was assistant there before wasn't he?
  18. Think he's using the last 5 games as the metric.
  19. Arguably the best goalkeeper in the PL at times this season so needs more competition.
  20. He's been pictured back in training i think
  21. Not so sure, Ricardo did his vs Aston Villa on 9th March 2020 and had had surgery by 20th March. Fatawu's does seem to have been done within a week but I think it depends on whether there's a full tear and/or the level of swelling. Let's hope it's not ACL and he's back very soon.
  22. I think they'll come in to the reckoning if Ayew is also injured for a long time.
  23. I wonder what these catastrophic injuries do to his tenure. I fear they'll be resigned to us battling relegation and just keep him. Terrifying prospect.
  24. Not so sure what enough wing backs that can play that.
  25. The games I've seen of us under McSweeney this season look at times far more impressive than the Petty years. The fast tracking of certain players from the impressive U16 winning team in to the U21s is a positive too.
