  1. He's been poor the last three, up to that though I thought he'd done well. He's a very streaky player and whilst I'm not so sure we can carry him for long periods of mediocrity, he's underrated defensively so I don't think that's a major issue at the minute. It's more how we get that ruthlessness out of him again. I think in this run of tough fixtures and the overall amount of chances we are gifting the opposition that going 3-4-2-1 is an option with Kristiansen at LWB and Fatawu RWB. Or play Kristiansen as the attacking LB and El Khannouss tucked in at LW like Cooper set the team up with Justin sitting as a 3rd CB at the start of the season but Reid as the LW/10.
  2. He has been, although Hoops said he's back in training now.
  3. He's a very streaky player, last season he went spells of being completely ineffective and then large spells of being immense. He's capable at this level but he probably doesn't get quite as much freedom to play himself back in to form. Will need to shape up again quickly.
  4. WHEN YOU'RE CLOSE TO TEARS REMEMBER, SOME DAY IT'LL ALL BE OVER, SOME DAY WE'RE GONNA GET SOOOOOO HIGH
  5. Not seen much myself but he was highly rated back end of last season and has really kicked on this season, hence the real hype. Think he's now gone from a £5-10m punt to double.
  6. It's still very early days and changes quite quickly anyway. A few weeks ago Okoli looked shrewd business and Skipp whilst a large fee looked like he'd slotted in well. A few weeks later and both are less impressive and El Khannouss is now showing signs of being promising once he's settled in. I don't hate our business this summer bar the obsession with PL experience on players that were never going to be better than what we already had.
  7. He's with the squad. Evidently not impressing the coaching staff which is odd as thr LCFC admin seem to make a big thing of showing him in training.
  8. Very interesting. His strong spell at Preston was in a front two and like many of our strikers we sign (Daka, Iheanacho etc) they all are more suited to 2 up top.
  9. Lorenz Hutchinson's 1st goal at U18 level, hopefully many more to come.
  10. We wanted him in the summer
  11. Interesting to see he play RW and Evans LW, they seem to be mixing it up which I like. Rare to see wingers play the side their strongest foot is on but we'll worth having the experience and ability to do so. Evans scored twice at LW the other week to add to his very effective cut in off the right and unleash off his left foot trademark goal.
  12. Kiwomya masterclass. Twas not an enjoyable experience. Redemption 3 years later when I returned to witness Robins put us in the semi finals of the League Cup.
  13. I'm not over-egging them at all. They are yet to learn the art of winning games at this level, which I believe still contains a lot of dog shit and teams pay the Premier League standard far too much respect. However all three of those strikers did well at the same level as us last season and two of them against us. Szmodics scored 3 against us last season and ripped us apart the season before in the FA Cup. Delap was very good vs us in the 1 nil home defeat to Hull too. We will and have already faced far better players this season and our goals against record speaks for itself, it's hideous. Today doesn't offer us major respite either IMO.
  14. Liam Delap has been a very good signing for them so far. If he can overcome the injuries he's picked up in the last few years then I think he'll be very competent at this level. Hirst falls in to the same bracket funnily enough. Whilst I don't think we predicted he'd be good enough for the top two divisions, injuries seems to be his biggest barrier. Our defence will struggle with either or both today. Old Szmodics had our number the last 2 seasons an'all ain't he?! 😂😂😂 Really hope I'm wrong but Ipswich comfortably take us apart today.
  15. Both teams will be firmly aware that this fixtures and the games against Southampton are majorly important games. You've got to target games like this as a win and we've been slightly better at getting across the line but only just. I think we'll have another period of the game where we can cause them problems but I've not got a good feeling about today.
  16. Good result that is, 2nd time this season we've been 2-3 up early and threatened a hammering but then failed to add more. Either way it's encouraging with the team selected too.
  17. Monga was with the squad at Old Trafford on Wednesday too.
  18. Big game in the offing from Bounanotte tomorrow 🙏🙏🙏
  19. I'd go with them both behind Vardy in a 3-4-2-1
  20. I'm getting to the point I'm not even that angry and annoyed. That's not because he's doing better than previously either. Just can't maintain the emotion that causes me more problems than it's worth. We're not a serious club anymore.
  21. Hmmmmmm I don't see much difference. Ayew did scuff the winner at Southampton which is an actual contribution that to date we've not had anything from Reid but their overall play is not dissimilar. Ayew gives the ball away a lot, looks unfit, can be brushed off the ball for a bloke who's forte is supposed to be strength. Their records at PL level aren't wildly different either and Ayew is supposed to be the more cultured striker and Reid a versatile midfielder. Neither are good enough to have warrant being pursued, given experience was not the major requirement we needed this season.
  22. The defenders of Cooper is very ironic given how abysmal his teams are at defending.
  23. Hugo Bolin is the one I'm keep a close eye on at Malmo.
  24. Could be a complete mess but what on earth do we do about the sheer amount of chances we let the opposition have? I wonder if 3-4-2-1 makes us any more robust with strong pressers in El Khannouss and Bounanotte behind Vardy. It might mean Mavididi drops out but I'd use Fatawu at RWB. Hermansen Faes Vestergaard Okoli Fatawu Winks Ndidi/Skipp Kristiansen when fit (don't care who plays out of Justin or Thomas) Bounanotte El Khannouss Vardy
  25. 2-2 or 2-1 to them I reckon
