  1. Said it before, he's an excellent presser and we don't do that enough as a team.
  2. Players like Reid and Ayew who've done a job for their previous club are always a risk regardless of supposed experience at the same level. Reason being is they're limited footballers who struggle to adapt to new surroundings. To an extent we've had such players that have gone elsewhere and been appalling. It can even happen to players we regard as great servants and talented players. Take Albrighton for example who was extremely mediocre at West Brom a level down. Signing both Reid and Ayew is just staggering and whilst it's still possibly unfair to write them off, it's not looming pleasant.
  3. Glimpses of the talent now coming through. Look forward to seeing him keep improving but may need a manager change to really prosper, like many.
  4. I sometimes watched old clips on You Tube of Madeley, especially when him and Jusy used to review books in the 90's.
  5. Logic goes out the window when it comes to football and Hoops, so on that basis I'd not rule out an unjust 1 nil away win this evening. Fancy us big time.
  6. We've a decent 13-14 players, another 3-4 steady players and 6-7 absolute honkers. Make 8+ changes and honkers are honking.
  7. Hahahahaaa let's be honest, this is the team most of us selected give or take the odd player.
  8. Yeah it's baffling management though. I know he's looked extremely average so far but he's had 1 start vs Walsall where they were all an abomination and a few sub appearances. Regardless of whether they've already doubts over him, you'd play him tonight purely for minutes as Vardy is always good for a few injuries a season anyway.
  9. That's what I'd go with too
  10. Jeffa Cakes
  11. The way we play isn't even overly defensive either though, but it's most certainly not attacking. You look at how easy it is to expose our defence and it's clear the whole team is not coached to be strong enough to maintain a strict low block. All 4 goals in the 1st half of the Arsenal and Southampton away games were bog standard low crosses in the box between the bank of defenders and defensive midfielders who should be protecting the team. Can't get my head around it, it smacks of inefficiency to both defensive football or attacking football. We do neither well.
  12. We had a presser for this?
  13. Josh King Lower down the age groups Lorenz Hutchinson is very well regarded, although his insane U16 record hasn't yet carried on in to U18s.
  14. Took that approach with chicken nuggets when I'd broke the elusive 60 barrier and went for a 100 and was in a coma for 3 days.
  15. Fairly standard that sacking a manager is around a years salary rather than the remainder of their contract. Although there's unconfirmef reports to suggest we were liable for the full whack for Brendan and accounted for in the year the sacking occurred too.
  16. I'm doing the two tunnels half marathon in Bath in Feb, looks decent. Also pencilling in the Ashby 20 miler in March as a gateway as to whether I ever do a full marathon. My dream is to run to every working mens club in the UK.
  17. Many times this season we seem out of position in both defence and attack without committing an abnormal amount of players that should cause us to be ill equipped. I still haven't fathomed out how, at times it's like we have 2-3 less players than the opposition.
  18. Either way he looks effing mustard 😂
  19. He's left footed. Usually plays right wing but has been deployed on the left recently as well, where he scores twice for the U21s. https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3ODk3MjU1NzE4MDg0MDI1?story_media_id=3454752218584217415_21968654705&igsh=ajVzZ2Qzc2Rhbmhu https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3ODk3MjU1NzE4MDg0MDI1?story_media_id=3468702099832987277_21968654705&igsh=ajVzZ2Qzc2Rhbmhu https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3ODk3MjU1NzE4MDg0MDI1?story_media_id=3469216754724865504_21968654705&igsh=ajVzZ2Qzc2Rhbmhu
  20. He's a left footed winger / attacking midfielder
  21. Hamza is out for a good while
  22. OK let's just break this down. Kristiansen was injured so he had play Ricardo, unless he really wanted to show just how much he doesn't rate Riccy and play someone else out of position. The other changes were Winks, who'd only been dropped recently for Skipp and a very raw El Khannouss for Fatawu. He could have left Winks out again but having taken Skipp off at half time and the dominance Winks then had I think he's taken the opportunity to try and get a future reaction out of Skipp after being left out. It's hardly a raft of changes and we've seen with previous games that keeping the same personnel or making a few changes hasn't yet had the linear effect some may expect. We are yet to put in a 90 minute performance, in almost every game we concede a massive amount of chances and our goalkeeper is performing heroics. Certain fans are reacting to others calling for changes that when they've happened and we haven't done anything tangibly different to what we've seen that they're proven wrong. By that metric in the previous games when such players haven't played and we've been crap and/or lost, is that not the counter evidence? I don't like the inverted full back system when it gets exposed and whilst I see the merits of it when it does work, I'm curious and equally scared that Cooper doesn't have the decisiveness and conviction to teach this strongly enough for it to not be easily out maneuvered by the opposition. As I've consistently said under Cooper, I hope the outcome from every game is to learn from it. He's starting to tweak things here and there which I praise him for but he also quickly needs to have clarity on how to improve us.
  23. He's flicked it off the opposite leg, it was a very odd reaction from him. Yates still had a fair bit to do but we made a series of mistakes in that passage of play and seemed determined to shit the bed.
  24. Jake Evans is doing similar to Moore and is a year younger so let's hope we can harness that progression.
