To be fair we got Tunchev in League One but this seems very silly.
-
Bet he's never once clipped the back of his ankles either
-
Gary Lineker Gary Mills Gary Megson Gary Taylor-Fletcher Gary Rowett Not a bad selection of Gary's, Megson aside
-
Bet he's flawless at taking the bins out, strikes me as the sort of man thats read the council guidelines to the nth degree and knows how to get the job done. Has them out there at 7.01pm the night before an just stands in his bay window staring at his neighbours. You've got to respect that
-
He is exactly what we need right now and it's been a few managers since we could say that. That first win and dare I say it first clean sheet is going to hit like crack.
-
I don't know of many, if any managers willing to do that. There are definitely some braver than others and it's a balance. The problem for us is our experienced / perceived important senior 1st team players have largely been appalling in recent years as well.
-
I think Jordan James makes the bench for this.
-
I agree from the start I wouldn't be, not unless they prove from cameos that they are in form and confident. But I hope he is brave enough to use them if needs be from the bench as our experienced options are a mix of pony and extremely slow. Badly need James and Ramsey back.

I'm not digging him out after two games here, i'm saying his track record elsewhere over a sustained period has always favoured experience over youth but as I also said that might be circumstantial over preference. It would be completely at odds with where we are as a club in the short to medium term anyway next season. Right now, he must do what he sees fit, but our experienced bench options have a shocking lack of pace and that concerns me. Page's energy immediately lifted the drop off we'd seen from Ayew and Aribo. He'll need to balance it.
-
Certainly not got much of a track record of bringing through young players much but hopefully that's circumstantial vs preference. Would be typical of us though to bring in a sporting director who favours a certain way and a manager the other π

I'm fascinated how we have provided assurance to the EFL that we are OK for 2025/26 too. I was led to believe that strict business plans and embargo are brought in mid season if this cannot be evidenced and the backstop of selling players in June to comply is not accepted as proof either.

Liking what I've seen so far on the whole. I hope he has enough trust in the likes of Aluko, Monga and Page because the squad as it is does not have many options and with the amount of games we have in quick succession over the next 2 months, we need to make sure we can see games out and turn games if needs be. I know it's perhaps not the right environment to be relying on youth but we also need the necessary pace and the likes of Ayew and Aribo last night highlighted this. I am also concerned Ricardo has gone from never playing midweek to playing every game since Marti's left, we need to manage him and Aluko has shown enough (Southampton aside) that he can hold his own at this level.
-
Straight away since Marti was sacked he starts every game, i think it's reckless especially given our already crippling injury list.

Seagrave to me, seems to be a King Power problem as much as Leicester's. We are all very concerned that should we drop and invariably fall in to admin then having Seagrave could be what tips us in to being unsalvagable. But what is owed to KP for that gaff would perhaps have to ge cut loose if we went in to admin and they might be better off trying to reclaim it as a separate entity and selling it off later down the line but maybe i'm being naive.

Looks like a straight shoot out between them and Lecce now. They still face Fiorentina, Torino, Lecce and Pisa so have opportunities but looks a horrid run they're on.

Why do you think protests before and possibly after games will risk the future of our football club anymore thsn the decline the current owners have been responsible for? Apologies if I've misunderstood your point but I keep reading a growing narrative that any protests is a threat to our future, which i find laughable given what's preceded all of this. -

Bang on. Although, the flip side is when you're doing as well as we were 3-4 years ago, they wouldn't get a chance. All this current crop really needed was a half cohesive group around them to have been able to play without fear but it's just not happened. Let's hope it's not all for nothing but this last decades hard work in our academy is at risk of being picked apart. -
That's not quite right. At Doncaster, he was very highly praised for his performances, his manager waxed lyrical about his skill set. Not disagreeing with your post in what you describe but Nelson is another who's gone through the English youth ranks and come out well. Hopefully finds his confidence again under Rowett.
