That was assumed to be the case but apparently there's scope for any breach to be passed between the two, it's just up until now it's not happened / actioned.

As did the move to a back three and him finally picking Albrighton. As I said on the BSLB pod this week, it's actually incredible how good Albrighton was at contributing in important games or periods during his time here. That great escape run he set up Vardy's winner vs Burnley after they'd just missed a penalty, set up 2 vs Newcastle and scored twice albeit those goals didn't mean much to the results. The following seasons the most obvious contributions were his Champions League goals and assists but actually if you look at just how desperate our league position was and then look at our form that had to be near top 6 form to pull away from relegation, he was masterful. Set up our first goal in Shakespeares 1st game at home to Liverpool that was massive. His outside of the boot assist for Huth away at West Ham was ridiculous. The list goes on. The strength of character in Ranieri's first game after the summer him and his family had had with his wife's mums murder, he turned in a majestic performance of a goal and 2 assists. He was such a strong character. So to come back around, the conversations on our great escape and the title win and just how influential Pearson was it's worth noting he'd ignored Albrighton, played Vardy out of position and had barely got a tune out of Mahrez. But it was all there under the surface ready to explode.

Very much depends what the terms are. We signed Rodgers to a 5 year deal where it was reported he had a buy out clause of around £13m. However in conflicting reports it seems if we were to sack him rather than have a clause owing him only a year or so salary (which is common when there's buyout clauses) it's rumoured he was owed his whole remaining contract in the year of sacking. Astonishing if true.

Looks to be a superstar in the making. We'd not be able to incorporate him in to our squad until January when he turns 18 but could sign and send to Leuven for half a season / full season.

He's one of the players I was told was released a while ago. Hope not as he seemed to be highly rated but he's not moved up to the U21s for whatever reason this season.

Is that scholar list confirmed by the club. There's a few names there I'd been told had been released.

You cannot teach the qualities Albrighton had, that are integral if you want a culture of players that deliver. I'm not talking about technical ability, I'm not talking about tactical excellence but character, mentality, work rate, reliability, authenticity. He was also a big game player. Often a player who'd not shrink under pressure and scored or contributed to some of our most important and memorable goals and results. He will be a huge loss on and off the field. Very much feels like the last of the last guard. Just Vardy left, both of them were so nuanced in a way. He's in any conversation until the end of time on legends at this club. KEVIN

This is my main gripe with Potter, but there'll be loads of people who come on and defend him as never having a clinical striker at Brighton. He also struggled to get Chelsea scoring and Swansea weren't overly prolific for the level they were at either. He again falls in to the category of manager that wouldn't be a horrendous appointment but his reputation is massively inflated for what he's achieved in this country.
