I'm on the Danny Ormerod bandwagon

Kante was the best defensive midfielder in the world off the back of the herculean effort he put in for us, genuinely goes down as one of the greatest players of that role in the last 20-30 years.
-
They will be in far better nick than us next season.

Yeah we massively fcuked it last season in that regard. The appointment of Rowett was a disaster, despite our struggles under Marti the majority of academy players would have felt very much included bar the early treatment of Nelson and perhaps the lack of trust in Aluko. -
Whats the record for a League One player or a player from a relegated Championship club at least. I think £15m could be the max we get which is disgusting given we'd not have taken double that last summer.

Barnes gets in most UCL teams starting XI bar perhaps 6-8 teams. -

Hasn't Page gone on record saying he's a Man Utd fan as well? -

Yeah, if Page goes thats properly galling but I can see why the big clubs would want him. He plays 30+ games here next season though so it's very much whether we badly need the money we'd get for him (can't see if being more than £5-8m at this stage). -

First observations are they feel so bouncy, but can't tell if they are a little narrow. Plenty of stability though so shouldn't be a problem in that regard. Will give them a rip at Market Bosworth Half this sunday. Also, get in quick as they have stopped making them I think and just on old stock. The 3s are getting mixed reviews in comparison. -

Annoyingly not the same week as Lisbon marathon 😂😂😂 -

Such a shame if Motsi does leave us. Alves and Briggs are best pals apparently, could both be vying for the 10 role next season? Prefer Alves LW. -

Tielemans was actually pretty poor for us in European games, it was the one blot on his copybook. Maddison and Ndidi were better in that regard. You mentioned Barnes though which is probably more what surprised me, he was consistently good domestically and in Europe and done even better at Newcastle in Europe. -
Had a horrible thought, was McCarron and Liam Manning at Lommel SK at the same time?

I mean Albrighton's output in Europe probably puts him up there with our most consistent players over that period. Goals vs Bruges and Sevilla. Goals and assists vs Rennes, assist with the last kick of the game away at Braga. Barnes also had a decent return for us in Europe and has done well in such competitions for Newcastle. -

It was my mistake 😂😂😂😂 -
Even if you completely disregard the fact he's only 16, have we not yet learnt how appalling this club is to play for in recent years and how invigorating it is to leave and prosper elsewhere? Some of that the players have to take responsibility for continuing the shocking environment but its also bigger than them and young academy players are absolved from all major issues at this club that's driving that. He has immense talent and seems to have a good head on his shoulders with a good family around him so I see no reason for this slating of him. He will go far if things map out for him.
-
I really hope we have the necessary scouting experience to target National League and League One and Two, SPL and the lesser known leagues in Europe as well as the leagues we've chronically neglected as a club of Japan, South Korea, Scandinavia. Norwich done wonders looming at playing from Australia and US/Canada too.
-
Not sure why West Brom never played him, his record at youth level was astonishing.
-
This is where we need to see what McCarron is made of and whether he will be listened to by Aiyawatt and Rudkin. My suspicions are he has his work cut out but hopefully I am wrong.
-
£10-15k in League One would be very much top end but Collins salary he can command on a free at Championship level will be considerably higher than what we should be offering.
-
We need to be careful because Collins would be ideal but he's 27 and he will have a good amount of teams in the Championship who will give him a 3 year deal that with a signing on fee is likely to be £15-20k a week. The only way we get him is being ambitious and paying through the nose ala Winks and Coady and i've had a gutfull of that.
-
Someone will overlook this season and view his record in Ligue One and then with us two seasons ago as fail safe at Championship level. Be nice to make a profit on his remaining book value but in reality we probably just need him off the books.
-
Will go and have a class 1st year somewhere and we'll all have the piss well and truly ripped out of us by their fans. May well revert to type when things don't go so well.

This is why him doubling down on Rudkin, Davies et al really makes this current ownership untenable. He had one last chance to really prove he knew what was required to save us and he's done this.
