Monga will push Mavididi and Fatawu on either wing. If El Khannouss goes then he may well play in the 10 role. I think Alves will get good minutes covering those roles too. More often than not he made a difference coming off the bench for Cardiff vs starting games. Aluko is also ready to start, as is Nelson obviously. Evans and Page will hopefully get a good amount of appearances too. Sheffield Utd and Sunderland both built their teams around a batch of young players/academy players and it has to be number one priority for us.

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
Ric Flair replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
5 seconds off (22.04) finally breaking the sub 22 min 5km, was scuppered by a pedestrian down the final stretch but still don't think it was 5 seconds worth. The pursuit continues. -
Disappointed Aluko didn't get either half, he's been our most impressive defender this pre-season. Hopefully he impresses Cifuentes in the coming weeks.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21

Motsi considered part of the U21s this season do you think or still a bit too soon? -
A left footed 8 type 😘

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Ric Flair replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
A relegation release clause is fairly likely. I thought there'd were signs the deal might not have been straight forward for us when the contract length was only 4 years, but to thrn agree to a release clause as well would have been weak on our part. -
With the right scouting and certainly using Cifuentes links to Scandinavia we can get such a player for £3-4m + add ones or a loan with option/obligations. We need to get serious about shifting some players.

That's actually a very good shout.

There's some inconsistency in when his 17th birthday is. Some media report it as June and others August. -
Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR

I've also heard the club are confident it'll only be between 4-6 points, whether that's with the confidence of an appeal i'm not sure. -
Depending on fee then this would make sense but from Scandinavia I'd like us to be trying to get Franculino Dju on a loan with an obligation to buy if we go up, or Erabi/Karlsbakk/Alladoh wouldn't be more than £3-4m

I swear other clubs recruiting managers and players overseas don't take this long to sort the paperwork but obviously the finer details we'd be less acute to for other clubs. I'm going to see how long it took QPR to announce Julien Stephan.
-
How on earth does he need a visa when he was employed in this country as recently as a month ago? Just announce it you absolute shambles.

Can somebody please list out who our official supporter clubs are as i'm going to request official comment from them once this kit is confirmed.

What's staggering is, there's deeply principled people that unequivocally support everything this football club does without question.

If we honestly can't bring anyone in then its going to be interesting to see what we do. Daka presses well but his finishing is beyond words, I genuinely don't know what's happened to him. Monga will be our best player within a year and we ought to build our team around him but pressing is not necessarily his strong point either, so deploying Ayew and Monga would weaken the high press but maybe Ayew is a better option up front than Daka? If it comes down to it then Monga and Daka. Fatawu and Mavididi press well, as does El Khannouss (if he stays). Jake Evans and Alves are intense runners too so there's plenty that can fit in Cifuentes style, but central midfield is a head scratcher.

Toffolo is solid but we don't need him. VK out, still got Thomas, Aluko, Justin and Coulibaly who all play there. Discounting Ricardo as he's likely to be a CM next season.

Page and Aluko have been class

It's not the last we've seen of Vardy in an LCFC shirt

Hermansen is also currently recovering from an injury though.
