I used to get wound up back in the day but as I've got older and more mellow I don't let it affect me anymore. I play with a bloke in his mid 30's who's off scratch and I've seen him shoot 68/69 on a few occasions. I've also seen him score 85/86 if he gets off to a poor start. He's capable of birdieing every hole but if he starts with a bogey in the first few holes he get's the hump and pretty much gives up on his score. I've seen many club golfers over the years with so much natural talent but mentally they're just not at the races. Golf is a mental game!
