  1. I know it is different issues, but only 6 deals were completed a day late, which you have to assume was the last 6 deals before the deadline - yes our paperwork was on time, but having 3 transfers in the last 6 of the entire window does show a tendency to leave everything to the last possible moment - all 3 could have been on one email, so perhaps that was the reason it took so long, I just think the optics make it look poorly organised
  2. Is it just me that think we never learn Having famously missed deadline day by 14 seconds 6 EFL signings that were so late they were announced a day later, 3 of them were ours - glad to see we are still organised
  3. Oh wait - Tielemans He went on to score our only ever fa cup winning goal, must put him up there
  4. Has to be Izzet! Huth second
  5. Paul Warne - promoted from league one four times, we need to prepare for next season
  6. 6-0 Aribo hat trick Luke Thomas goal and a assist Daka and Ayew both score And a clean sheet! Now, where is my medication?
  7. Just a quick question? Did we remember to click send on the paperwork to the EFL?
  8. Last year Coulibaly This year Aribo You have to love the January sales, that time of year you can buy the shit no one would gift you for Christmas
  9. They forgot we got their head of recruitment too!
  10. "Former managers have praised his ability to "park his ego" and perform in unconventional roles, such as filling in at left-back" A poor signing as a midfielder or forward - but I'll take him to replace Luke Thomas!
  11. I asked Google AI - if they were available to take over from Top & Rudkin in the Leicester board and here is the answer While I can’t physically take a seat in the King Power boardroom, I can certainly provide the data-driven "Moneyball" oversight that many fans feel has been missing since the departure of the late Khun Vichai. If an AI were running Leicester City today, here is how it might address the specific frustrations you've raised: 1. The "Southampton Obsession" Bug From a logic perspective, signing players like Vestergaard and Bertrand—who were part of a defence you beat 9-0—is a "data outlier." An AI would likely flag these as high-risk acquisitions due to declining physical metrics and the psychological impact of those defeats. The current move for Joe Aribo would be scrutinised against his "Expected Output" versus his age and declining minutes at St Mary's. 2. The Contract Expiry Glitch The "logic" of letting Harry Winks, Boubakary Soumare, and Patson Daka all reach the final six months of their contracts simultaneously is a failure in asset management. My "code" would have triggered an automatic "Sell or Renew" alert 18 months ago to avoid the current situation where the club is "cashing in" for pennies just to balance the books. 3. Managerial Recruitment The link to Russell Martin—a manager who lost 5-0 to Leicester—would be flagged for "Incompatibility." If the goal is survival or a rebuild, hiring a manager whose primary philosophy (extreme possession) has already been "found out" by Leicester's own squad seems counter-intuitive. 4. The 2026 Strategy If I were "Director of Football" for the final 48 hours of this window: Prioritise Youth: Instead of a 29-year-old Aribo, I would focus entirely on the Divine Mukasa and Jack Fletcher loans—high-ceiling players with no "losing baggage." Fix the Commute: I would implement a strict "Radius Rule" for the squad. The reports of Winks and Vestergaard being "exiled" over 100-mile commutes suggest a fractured club culture that an algorithm would identify as a primary cause of low morale. The Verdict: The optics are poor—signing the recruitment head and players from a team you consistently thrash suggests a lack of original scouting. While I can't replace Top or Rudkin, I can certainly confirm that based on the current 2026 data, the "Saints-to-Foxes" pipeline is one of the most statistically baffling recruitment strategies in the Championship.
  12. We beat Southampton 9-0 and take half their back 4 and head of recruitment We beat them 5-0 & 4-1 in the same season and look set to take their Manager and midfielder Our board may be shit, but we can't say they are not consistent
  13. Mukasa to play up front and at 18 be the most senior player in our forward line - playing Monga, Page & Motsi behind him
  14. So if Vestergaard is not fit, Okoli is suspended - Aluko would have to play CB Who replaces Thomas at Left Back? - Any ideas, I'll accept anyone Skipp, Hamza, James, Ramsey all still out - the midfield has to be Winks, Page & Reid We have no options in Defence and midfield, put be really need to change Jakub & Ayew - they are both liabilities and we have alternative liabilities that can replace them in Begovic and Daka
  15. I have to agree, although I can't condone his actions off the pitch - today he still looks composed and realistically is are best holding Midfielder - with him playing we can release James to play as a 2nd 8 when he is fit - how many goals and assists would James get if we played him higher
  16. He has to be dropped - his performances are woeful He form has completely dropped and a keeper capable of dealing with crosses is now nowhere near them and a liability. Unfortunately I don't he would miss a game for illness as he currently couldn't catch a cold
  17. Top turned up, but left late to beat the traffic
  18. Quickest he moves in when being subbed off Another AWFUL performance
  19. Back to those away days of singing "My Garden Shed is bigger than this" and where we outnumber the home fans
  20. How bad is our player recruitment! Look at the players currently available - after Hamza injury and Okoli suspended - I make it just 7 over players aged over 21
  21. Defensively we are shocking - but that is hardly a surprise when the only fit Centre back that can't play for the under 21s gets himself sent off after 15 minutes. Thomas is awful - he should have been sprinting back when Okoli was sent off to provide the cover, he lost his man for the second goal. But trying to see King's tactics - Mavididi & Fatawu appear to be narrower and pressing more when their defence has the ball I think we are trying to press and we looked to move the ball quicker and play on the counter - but if that is the case why is Ayew on the pitch It's hard to tell with going down to 10 so early and such a limited squad (started the day with just 9 outfield players over 21 fit enough to play and by half time 1 more is injured and another suspended - and are they all going to be here come Tuesday?)
  22. We are the next Sheffield Wednesday... just how they were 9 months ago
  23. Did that count an as Ayew shot on target!
  24. Was Winks first touch to pass it back to the Goalkeeper?
  25. Sending off and injury in King's first match - only 1 sub window remaining! We are not got to learn anything from King's tactics here today Winks is back - is this the Enzo Winks or the Marti Winks though?
