  1. This exactly what I noticed too. Yes Coventry were always going to come at us, but the message shouldn't have been preparing to defend it, but how we can exploit the space they leave behind. Instead we play Ayew as out front man 30 yards away from our own goal. Our striker should be on the half way line waiting for a quick turnaround. Instead he has drilled it into the team they are not good enough and the 2nd half they proved him right. After actually a good first half - which again proves the players are capable of much better than we are doing and proves again that he can't get the best out of them and he is the wrong man for job I will give him credit for the first half, because it was only the 2nd time this season I've seen us use the Enzo tactics - inverted RB and James as a 2nd 8 and it worked - the 2nd half although we were still trying it, the transition between the two formations was far too slow - either this was tactical or Ricci can't last 90 minutes. I really don't get this idea of playing 90 minutes, then missing a match. Surely he would be better playing 60 minutes every match
  2. In July it was reported by Leicester Mercury and East Midland business news that we already had secured loans against Parachute payments untli 2028 - said at the time to be an investment to help fund the summer transfer window - and that never happened "Leicester City has taken out another loan, this time from Australian bank Macquarie, ahead of the upcoming Championship season. The loan, filed with Companies House, is secured against the club’s Premier League funds due until 2028, including parachute payments following their relegation."
  3. 3 goals in 46 matches at Birmingham Sounds like our kind of signing following Carranza and Ayew
  4. Hamza and Skipp the midfield partnership no one knew they wanted
  5. Is there a reason Mirsad Ali is not playing? The regular under 21 left back, is it possible he could be in the first team? Clearly a problem position
  6. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/leicester-city?post=c2e1rl9ljzzo#post "Defender Ben Nelson says Leicester City "need the backing" of supporters as the Foxes continue to strive for promotion to the Premier League. Some fans chose to boycott Monday's Championship game at King Power Stadium against West Bromwich Albion. A 94th-minute volley from Abdul Fatawu earned Leicester a 2-1 victory against a Baggies side that dominated for long spells, lifting the Foxes to within six places and four points of the play-off spots. When asked about the subdued atmosphere at the ground, 21-year-old Nelson told BBC East Midlands Today's Charlie Slater that he felt "kind of the opposite". "I feel in the second half they really got behind us," Nelson said. "We feel it as players, we feel like how they [fans] must feel and we have sympathy for that, but we need their backing to keep going to push you over the line." Nelson is a lifelong Leicester fan, former Foxes ball boy and a player that has come through the club's academy. He insists the Championship remains "wide open" this season and that Leicester's chances of making an immediate Premier League return should not be written off. "We are really confident that we can push on now," he said. "If we build a run, we know we can climb the table quickly."" To be fair he is one of the players who clearly puts in the effort, shame he wasn't asked how he feels when he sees his team mates not putting the effort in
  7. Leicester have not beaten the same side by more than 3 goals in 3 consecutive matches since England won the World cup We beat Cheltenham 4-0 home and away in that League One season - remember we were in League One you know
  8. It's not about money. The club was never brought as an investment - it has always been a hobby. The only difference is it was a hobby his Dad was good at, Top doesn't have the same skills In 2023 Top wrote off a £194 million pound loan from King Power to the club. He has continually overspent over his tenure at the club... this financial mismanagement isn't because there is no money, it's caused by the complete ignorance of FFP rules and attempting to blindly throw money at it. Why does he want to keep us? Erm it is where his Dad died, it is where his Dad was at his happiest, we are a symbol of his Dads and families greatness... people forget the sentiment behind the club to his family. Oh and no I'm not a King Power fan - I want him gone because sentiment doesn't run a football club and he simply has no clue how to run any of the business ventures he inherited, but I understand why that is personally hard for him - it would like he failed his Dad (and in fairness he has) He either has to sell for the good of the club or overhaul the board and bring in outsiders who do know how to run a football club - but yet another promotion for Jon Rudkin proved that he really has no clue how to run the club, he has no idea the views of the fans and he will undoubtedly run the club into the ground unless King Power go bankrupt forcing him to sell
  9. Key themes from the statement and what has actually happened: Rebuilding Phase: The club is in a rebuilding phase, similar to a Championship team needing time to grow, acknowledging the difficulties after Premier League stints and relegation. Yes the club does need to rebuild, so you would expect a busy January, players and loans out already arranged for the 1st week of January especially for those players that have been effectively removed from action... Carranza's loan ended, we would have a replacement lined up... No - actually no action, we are going to rebuild by taking no proactive steps whatsoever Time & Effort: Success won't be immediate; it requires sustained effort and patience, a realistic approach he wants fans to understand. We actively see the board NOT taking time or effort to the running of the club. The owner and current CEO is notable by his absense Reconnect with Fans: He's committed to better communication, transparency, and rebuilding trust after a period where it diminished. 2 Months later, no further communication, transparency or attempting to rebuild any connection - Fails to even acknowledge the fans boycott and protest Strategic Changes: Plans include appointing a technical director to assist the Director of Football (Jon Rudkin) with transfers and strategy. Again, no further action has taken place - proving the club had not even thought about this prior to the statement and was just looking for words - the board have needed help for years and it has been ignored Accountability: He accepts responsibility for recent struggles, including relegation, and is working to get the club back on track. This appears to mean stop blaming Rudkin... and also he is only going to take accountability from the comfort of 7000 miles away and as long as it involves answering no questions or any further acknowledgement. Meanwhile we won't pay our hardworking staff in time for Christmas and take away any perk of being a steward like eating Not for the first time Top has made a statement that he wrote in the 10 minutes it took to shave before making it, with no interest in any follow through. He honestly has no clue what to do and will stay away avoiding any difficult conversation
  10. This will be ineffective unless the boycott persists Is the boycott going to continue into the next home match - because all I have read about it - it was a boycott for just the 1st Home game of the season If we want to make a stand, then the boycott has to continue (and the happy clappers that do turn out continue to boo like they did last night) Even then I doubt it is hitting the press in Thailand, so Top won't notice for some time yet
  11. Rudkin was seen just going through the turnstiles repeatedly for the full 90 minutes Just so He can tell Top when he wakes up That we had a brilliant win and despite a cold snowy night the fans still turned up Before turning their attention to the horses
  12. Worst player on the pitch Should have been sent off But still played better than Thomas in the previous match
  13. What boycott? They announced an attendance of over 27,000 The club will not acknowledge anything
  14. Has Jakub just admitted that the tactics were to just grind out a result
  15. Despite a great goal, do you agree that you were utterly crap for 94 minutes?
  16. WHAT A GAME PLAN Very very lucky to get a win We were awfully poor and deserved nothing We made no changes to the tactics and put in very little effort into attempting to win the match. We were holding on for a point in the whole of the second half We didn’t run – so many times I saw the players just standing still We didn’t battle We were tactically poor There is nothing to like about this side (the odd flash shows we can play, but the players refuse to do so making them impossible to like) Our Goalkeeper even resorted to diving in the 94th minute – I assume to get a free kick, the ref ignored it Before Fatawu scored a completely undeserved goal. The players still need booing off, we still need answers from the manager as to why we are so shit We need some action from the board WHAT A GAME PLAN!
  17. Wow we are so poor They could have had 5
  18. 77 minutes and still no tactical change to attempt to do anything Do we have a manager?
  19. Hamza lucky to be on the pitch Should have been booked in the first half
  20. I thought Sheffield Wednesday have been playing better than this
  21. Just one question I want some one to ask Marti Are you tactically inept or are the players refusing to put in the effort?
  22. Sitting back and hoping for a draw at home to a team who have lost their 9 away games Absolutely shocking performance Not a single player is putting in a performance - AGAIN
  23. I think we need a manager who will get the team to sit back at Home to a team how have lost their 9 away games and hope for a draw! Any ideas where we can get such a manager
  24. Middle of the wall didn't even jump Of course jumping takes effort
  25. Over 60 minutes in and second best to a team that have lost the last 9 away games and yet Marti is happy to keep things the same
