It was probably that summer that ****ed everything up tbh, we didn’t make 1 first team sale as per the seasons before when it was rumoured tielemans would leave for 40 ish mill, and brought in a few signings on vastly inflated wages that didn’t improve the squad. I think it was rumoured our average wage was 94k that season, which is disgusting tbh, and when we couldn’t sign anyone as a result the season after the writing was on the wall, completely mismanaged and as fans it may have seemed tickety boo but we’re not payed 100s of thousands to ensure that the situation we find ourselves in happens, it must have been apparent that we couldn’t sustain 70,80,90k a week upon missing out on cl places 2 years running. The complete mismanagement from board level has and will cost us, and if Top had employed some competent board room staff to run the club for him, maybe we wouldn’t be in this mess

Tbf who’s going to take him, especially with his wages? It’s hard to think of 5 worse gks than him in this division and league one teams aren’t going to be spending 10/15k a week on a gk

Who’s said that losing to them is a bad result? It’s the manner in how we lost and how our manager is obsessed with honouring pep’s master plan that has pissed me off

Elite coach? Superb players? This is Chelsea 2023/24 you’re on about and not 04/5 isn’t it? Elite coach who’s won **** all and has these superb players in the bottom half of the league. They have one excellent player in Cole palmer not sure where there other superb players were hiding yesterday or this season. We were on top for 10 mins like you said until that red card, until then we were absolutely hammered, should have been 4-0 down and until a complete fluke of an og wouldn’t have scored at all yesterday. 4-2 flattered us massively, still in it til the end we were barely in it at ht. If however they do pull together and get us over the line fair play, I’ll take back what I said, but I’m still at a loss as to how anyone could watch that yesterday and think we did well, a worldie og and a worldie are papering over so many cracks

This has annoyed me more than it should tbh, we didn’t lay a glove on them if we’re being honest, a freak og and a worldie out of nothing and should have been 4 down at ht, but the manager is pleased we played with a certain style and philosophy. It’s what has put me off the game as a whole tbh, everybody seems to be so fixated on ‘playing football the right way’, I hate Liverpool and klopp but he has it right with the way he sets up his teams and likes to watch an actual match rather than 2 teams trying to control it better than the other, it’s seriously dull

We’ll see how much form means in 9 games, yes there was only 1 stinker like you say but that’s what’s worrying, our lack of ability to get things over the line. Nobody is expecting us to steam roll everybody but there’s clearly a leadership problem losing 3 in a row at this stage of the season. I would call for him out now tbh, I’m not sure he’s all that and with the lack of investment available and this system relying on the best players in the division we’ll be a carbon copy of Burnley imo

But it’s the same story as usual, fold like a deck of cards when put under any sort of pressure. Worst chelsea side in probably 30/40 years and at 2-2 decide to try and cling on instead of going for it. Its inevitable, we’ve been sussed out unfortunately and it’ll be easier on you when you come to terms with it

Just romanticised nonsense, he’s nowhere near a starter at premier league level even bottom 3, and couldn’t get a game at West Brom last season when they finished 9th. His end product just isn’t good enough and he has no variety to his game. Have absolutely loved Marc’s time here, especially his goals in big European games but he’s not a starter for any champ top half teams, however his experience would have been invaluable during this run in so I would like to have seen him feature a lot more than he has, like others have said it would have been interesting to see him given a go in the inverted full back role. I think he could have had a decent go at a cdm role in a more traditional system
